Tucked into a prime location on popular Bay Street, this inviting coastal retreat is perfect for families and friends looking to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy everything the coast has to offer.

This lovingly maintained home blends nostalgic beach house vibes with practical convenience. Just a short stroll down scenic dune paths puts you right on the sand, while the general store, local club, and nearby campground are all within easy walking distance—making your holiday effortlessly simple.

With four generous bedrooms, Beach Break comfortably sleeps up to nine guests, making it ideal for large families or two groups traveling together. The home is equipped with an air-conditioned, open-plan kitchen and dining space, plus a separate lounge room for cozy movie nights or quiet reading. A second casual living area near the kitchen gives kids their own space to play, unwind, or watch a movie after a beach day.

Enjoy preparing meals in the fully equipped kitchen, then gather around the dining table to share food and stories. And after a long day of sun and surf, sink into the freestanding bathtub for a soothing soak.

Outdoors, there’s a spacious, secure backyard where kids can run and play freely. Outdoor shower to rinse off after a day at the beach. There’s ample off-street parking for cars or boats, plus bonus storage at the back of the shed for beach gear, bikes, and surfboards.

While we ensure that all beds are equipped with mattress protectors, pillows, pillowcases, quilts, and quilt covers, we kindly ask guests to bring their own sheets, towels, bathmats, and tea towels. Additionally, guests are expected to provide their own laundry detergent, dish soap, personal soap, and toilet paper among other personal necessities.

The location and the off street parking was great, but that is where it ended. The property needs a good clean aswell as a spring clean. There was black mould in the bedroom and mould inside and on top of the fridge. The property sleeps 8 and had 3 winglasses- which were dirty. The fry pans, kitchen utensils were so old and outdated I would not have used any of them. Cupboards jam packed with garbage bags filled with items, torn bed valances and very old, saggy bed mattresses. We had to change accommodation same day as check in as I felt so uncomfortable bringing my small children in to this house. With a little furniture update and a deep clean of this property, as well as a good property cleaner, this house could be great!

A neat house in a great location close to the beach and club with a handy 4 bedrooms. The house was clean although some of the furniture could use updating. Outside there is a nice outdoor area but some things are looking a little tired and in need of some basic maintenance, like the shrub at front trimmed, roof and gutters not good and a leaking back tap.

Cleanliness was an issue. The bbq was FILTHY, we attempted to clean it but the grease build up was so bad that the gas jets we clogged. The smell was horrendous. Great bbq area, with cover and seating but unfortunately we cooked our bbq in the kitchen and ate inside. Plenty of cupboard space in kitchen with excessive pots and pans but nowhere to store condiments etc. A pantry would be good. The loungeroom floor was dirty and dusty especially under seating. That aside, we enjoyed our stay in Hat Head, we always do. Would we go back to this property? Probably not.

Can't give beach break a 5 star rating for a few reasons.I know it said to supply many things including your own detergent but I didn't think it meant dishwasher tablets so we couldnt use it,the bed was hard and uncomfortable,the ignition on the bbq didn't work and it smelt fatty so we didn't use that either,the toilet must have a drain problem cause it smelt like stale urine and the bathroom door was off it's tracks so it didn't close properly. Being a holiday house it would have been nice to have a few condiments like salt & pepper,oil & sugar,just little things like that would be a nice touch. On leaving the property we were asked to take out the rubbish and wash all dishes which is fair enough but to sweep the floor as well was a bit ridiculous. The best thing was the bath and fantastic water pressure in the shower and also a safe place to park your car and boat. Unfortunately dont think we would stay there again.
