"Just a great experience. Great lobby porch and areas to relax. The town is right around the corner with many more areas to visit. Train is 600 feet from hotel and plenty of buses and taxis to get you wherever you want to go. Nice place to stay out of the London hustle and bustle but still close enough to get there and back quickly. "

Beautiful spacious rooms, especially the ones over looking the river with Juliet balcony, where you can watch the ducks & swans- all very idyllic. Staff are helpful & always available. Downstairs gives plenty of traditional country style pub vibes. If you are looking for an upmarket place to relax & chill out, this is the place to be. A major plus is the free on site parking. "Pleasantly surprised. Was booked as an overnight pit stop for Thorpe park but actually wished we’d spent more time there. Quirky, cosy and everything you needed like ironing board, hairdryer, toiletries, coffee machine etc. even snack in the room (chargeable). Literally 5 mins to Thorpe park "

"The hotel felt old in a good way, but the rooms - and especially the bathrooms - were up to date and beautifully maintained. We enjoyed lovely breakfasts in the sunny dining room and we left agreeing that the Alexander Pope was a hotel we would happily return to. It's also very convenient to central Twickenham and the 490 bus took us everywhere we needed to go."

"My partner and I do a fair amount of city breaks for various gigs. I am not usually one to review anywhere we have stayed but I just had to with this hotel. The room was lovely The bed was really BIG and comfortable. The shower was fantastic The hotel was spotless The complimentary bath products were really nice, plenty of shower gel, hair shampoo and conditioner.
