With 635 feet of private white sand below, you'll be able to spend your days swimming, sunbathing, and surfing in the pristine Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy your very own balcony with a view of the water, as well as shared resort amenities that include two zero-entry outdoor pools, a heated indoor pool, two hot tubs, and a gym with a sauna.

The Lighthouse Resort enjoys an enviable beachfront location just over half a mile east of Highway 59. That bustling road is home to Waterville USA, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, Pirate's Island Adventure Golf, and a wealth of other attractions for all ages. If you're looking to get around on foot, Sea-N-Suds, The Hangout Gulf Shores, and lovely Gulf State Park are located within walking distance. You'll also be five miles south of the Craft Farms Golf Club and a short drive from Big Wave Dave's, The Flying Harpoon 2, and The Flora-Bama.

Don’t stay here!

We have stayed at the Lighthouse many times in the past few years but in a different unit owned by someone else. It wasn’t available this time. This condo was outdated, in tremendous need of updates, maintenance, upkeep. It did not feel clean, the rugs were shag and questionable as far as cleanliness, the fridge was rusted, the dryer was incredibly rusted, the quality of everything was subpar at best. There were hardly enough towels for our family - certainly nothing extra. The front door didn’t lock unless slammed shut. The patio door was incredibly hard to open/close. The shower head was pulling out of the wall. The toilet in front bathroom had a seat and lid that didn’t fit properly and kept falling off. The same toilet’s water was shut off upon arrival. Confused, we turned it on so we could use it. The next morning the bathroom was covered in water. Obviously the management knew there was a problem but rather than fix it, they just shut water off. After many frustrating minutes on the phone with a foreigner who didn’t understand the problem, we were told maintenance would call us to set up a service call. That never happened. Someone showed up. He said the hardware had rusted through and left to get new stuff. He “fixed” it and it leaked the entire week, making that bathroom floor constantly soaked. We had to pay $50 for parking on top of our condo booking, something we’ve never had to do before. We weren’t given gate codes for pool and beach- we were told that we would

Mold and mildew in condo 617

The resort is nice. This condo was terrible. It had a strong mildew smell upon arrival we hoped would clear out but it lasted the entire week. There was visible mold stains on the ceiling of the entryway and near the floor. The couch was stained and smelled. The curtains were stained, ripped and smelled. I sent support pictures and asked for another room and was offered another condo a half hour away. We had family in two other condos at this resort we were vacationing with so we declined. We had no local support just a lot of apologies for the inconvenience and a small refund from the remote support reps. Will not be using VRBO/Vacasa for travel ever again this was the worst experience ever.

Wonderful long weekend relaxing at the beach.

Perfect spot to stay for a long weekend. All conveniences of home. Clean beautiful property. They are doing some off season updates but didn’t effect our stay or any amenities of the property.

Our second time in this unit and it was just as good as the first!

We love this unit and picked it again this year instead of chancing it on another one. We are so glad we did! Always a good time. It’s clean, well stocked with household essentials and the location is great!

Disappointed

I advised of my issues before. Updated, dirty, second bedroom had small bunk-beds that were out of date....Light fixtures, everything, loose toilet seats, showers were updated.....for what I paid...Only three days....the only good thing was I was on the beach.

Perfect in every way

The only suggestion I have is that this unit invest in new mattresses for both the bunk beds and master bedroom. Everything we needed was right there. We will return again 😊

Unit needs some work

The rental had a lot of problems that need to be address. The washer in the unit did not work but was replaced while we were there, kitchen faucet had to be replaced and a hall light needed to be dressed. All of these problems were taken care of but should never happened in the first place, also on the last day there the AC went out. Looks like it is time for the owner to take a little pride in his investment and get it up to shape. Enjoyed Gulf Shores and would stay at this complex again but not this unit.
