Two bedroom apartment with communal swimming pool, children's swimming pool, tennis court and gardens. Situated in the conserved and award winning village of Frigiliana, with beautiful views looking over Nerja. The apartment is in a gated community, and is 2 minutes walk into the heart of the village with all shops, restaurants and bars. The beach and Nerja Town centre are approximately 5 minutes drive. Close to the centre of Frigiliana and is in the modern and luxury La Fuentes development.

**Update – January 2020
This month the apartment has been repainted throughout, had a new Sony 49 inch TV (4K HDR, Android, WIFI, Voice Control etc) new TV Cabinet, sofa reupholstered, new lamps, new rug in lounge, new pouffe, new pillows, new bedding for all rooms and a new shower head.

About Frigiliana: The village of Frigiliana sits high on a mountain ridge overlooking the sea with spectacular panoramic views over Nerja which is just seven kilometers away.

Voted the ‘prettiest village in Andalucía’ by the Spanish tourism authority, the village is a tangle of narrow cobbled streets lined by whitewashed houses, their wrought-iron balconies filled with planters of brilliant red geraniums. Small plazas provide shady seating while the village bars are popular with visitors who come here to taste the locally produced wine. There are also several excellent shops selling pottery and ceramics, including decorative plates with their distinctive Arab design.

About Nerja: At the foot of the Sierra Almijara and Sierra Nevada mountains, approximately 50 km east of Malaga, lies the town of Nerja.

Situated on a rugged headland in an area of sheltered coves with excellent sandy beaches, overlooking the Mediterranean, Nerja is one of the smaller and more tastefully developed coastal resorts, noted for its absence of high-rise hotels and apartment buildings. Surrounded by some of the most fertile farmland in Spain, where olives, avocados and many other crops grow in abundance, Nerja remains a small unspoiled town. The old part of town is a maze of cobbled streets offering cafes and tapas bars, boutiques and fine shops. Later in the evening, the Balcon de Europa, a palm-fringed promenade overlooking the sea – and the cobbled streets of Nerja come to life and are lovely places to stroll or just sit and watch the world go by.

Other Attractions nearby: In the area there are many things for people to see and do, here are just a few:-

Visit the Alhambra. This is one of the most famous tourist attractions in the world and has been described as one of those amazing places that sometime during your lifetime you simply must go and experience.

Nerja Caves - are a series of caverns close to the town of Nerja. Stretching for almost 5 km these amazing caverns are one of Spain's major tourist attractions. Concerts are regularly held in one of the chambers which forms a natural amphitheatre.

Picasso Museum - This is situated in the beautiful city of Malaga which is also excellent for shopping. Picasso was born in Malaga, and right in the heart of the Historic Centre of the city this magnificent old building has been painstakingly restored to befit the importance of the works of the great artist.

3rd Visit!

This is our 3rd visit to Clive’s property. It’s very well located in the beautiful village of Frigliana. We ate out everyday but the kitchen looked to be very well equipped for self catering. As it’s within a cluster of residential properties we had the pool almost to ourselves every day. The only slightly negative is the noise of the ceiling fan in the main bedroom makes it very hard to sleep. The addition of air conditioning is great, but the 90 minute cutoff not so much. This wouldn’t prevent us from booking again though.

Ok a apartment with good location

Overall an ok apartment with a good location. Nice pool area and also close to the community pool. The apartment got pretty warm and the ceiling fans was very noisy, more than usual, witch made it impossible to have them on at night. Outside temperature was very hot. It was clean on arrival and all equipment worked. The detergent compartment in the washing machine was not cleaned in a while and that was not nice.

Frigiliana apartment

Nice two bedroom apartment in Frigiliana. Good walking distance to restaurants and old town sights. 15 minute drive to Nerja beaches or you can take a bus for 1.15 euro p/p. If you plan to cook much in the apartment you will most likely need to go to a supermarket in Nerja. We only could find basic provisions in Frigiliana. The community pool was nice for the kids to swim in while we were cleaning up or preparing meals.

Good apartment in great location

Apartment was as expected. Location was excellent. Good sized rooms. Just a couple of small issues but nothing that would stop me staying here again. Double bed would really benefit from a new mattress and new fittings in bathroom. Good to have British TV channels and Wi-Fi was very good.

All you could need in fabulous location

Met outside the front door of the apartment block by Sue reserving a car park space which made it easy to unload the car. Very spacious apartment surrounded by gardens, including two pools in the old past of Frigiliana. Full kitchen facilities including a washer and everything you could need should you want to self cater. Large lounge with dining table and a TV system that once Id got my head round it enabled me to watch any football match I wanted and the T20 cricket finals day. Two bedrooms and plenty of storage. Loads of towels and bedding. Full bathroom with a good shower over the bath. Water was always hot. Nice little courtyard that unfortunately does not get the sun, in September anyway. The air dryer came in useful. The complex was very quiet, clean and well maintained. My only suggestions for improvement would be a new mattress for the double bed and maybe some hardy low maintenance plants in pots in the courtyard. Frigiliana itself is magical. Probably the friendliest place I have visited in Spain and I felt relaxed and safe at all times. Clive helpfully provided a list of recommended restaurants, including The Garden and La Taberna Sacristan, which I tried and concur. The view from the Garden restaurant is stunning. As is the view from the Casino restaurant [book if you want the best table]. The apartment is also only 8 minutes walk from the new location of La Domadora y el Leon, craft beer bar which was my main reason for wanting to stay in Frigiliana Clive and Sue were very accommodating and I would love to stay here again.

Lovely, well equipped and brilliantly located apartment

This is a great apartment and is very well equipped for a holiday stay. It is perfectly located for enjoying beautiful Frigiliana. You can walk to the shops, bars and restaurants of the town in minutes. It is also a very short walk to the large outdoor municipal swimming pool which my kids loved. It is a short drive to the beaches and shops in Nerja. We would also highly recommend the beach at Maro.

Appartement idéalement situé dans le centre du village mais facile d'accès. La résidence privée est jolie et très bien entretenue. L'appartement est spacieux et bien équipé. Le village est superbe, animé et proche de la mer. Idéal pour visiter Grenade, Malaga et la région. Stationnement pas toujours facile à trouver dans la rue. Je recommande cet appartement.

Better than expected

Having been to Frigiliana the last three years,usually twice a year,we had a good idea where we were going to be,and everything about this apartment was above expectations,the pool area was perfect for a relax in the sun,usually had the pool to ourselves which was great,you didn’t want for nothing as it was all there in the apartment,bedrooms and shower was first class,HOT water all the time.We usually eat out at the local Spanish bars,there are so many and really pleased to see you,even remembered us from the previous visits,food was excellent and a lot cheaper than the surrounding restaurants.one of our favourites was up the road by SPLASH, Really nice.great beers and food.Burrianna beach is great beach,spend all day there,got to get there early to get parking space or get a bus for 1€ to nerja then short taxi ride 4€.or a nice walk.We usually have a family apartment to stay but not Easter time,hence we rented this apartment. But a return to Frigiliana in August Hot Hot Hot,

Frigiliana Apartment

Well equipped nice apartment, its clean and tidy with everything you could need to enjoy your stay. The location is good with a short walk up hill or steps to the lovely Square and little village that host lots of wonderful little shops and good restaurants or a short walk along the road for more bars and restaurants.we stayed first 2 weeks of September the weather was fantastic . We had a hire car which I would recommend although parking isn't easy .

Fabulous, well equipped and amazing location

We've just come back from a fantastic week in Frigiliana. My daughter and I stayed in the apartment but it's more than spacious enough for 4 people. The apartment was in a great location with beautiful views. It was clean with a great range of equipment to eat in if you wanted too but but also well placed to go to the great Frigiliana restaurants. The pool at the block was lovely and never more than about 5 people in and around it. We didn't hire a car as public transport to Nerja for the restaurants, shops and beach was regular, reliable and cheap (€1 per person each way). We loved the atomsphere in both Frigiliana and Nerja with the relaxed Spanish lifestyle. We have totally fallen in love with the area and will be back - not just to Frigiliana but hopefully to this apartment too. Thanks so much Clive and Sue - it's amazing.

Fantastisk ferie i en fantastisk lejlighed

Vi havde fornøjelsen af at bo i lejligheden i september 2016. Vi havde en skøn ferie. Lejligheden indeholdte alt hvad vi skulle bruge. Omgivelserne på området var fantastisk. Luksus at have den gamle bydel lige i baghaven. Vi havde lidt udfordringer med poolen, men Sue og Clive gjorde alt hvad der skulle gøres og det blev løst meget hurtigt. Super service og meget stor hjælpsomhed. Frigiliana er en fantastisk by og vi ville med glæde, hvis det er muligt komme tilbage. Lejligheden, udlejer og byen kan på det varmeste anbefales. Vi havde og skøn oplevelse.

Very good apartment, well located.

The apartment was easy to find and we were met at the door by the owner's rep and shown through. It was a few minutes walk into the village centre. The apartment was very clean and well stocked with dishes, utensils and pots/pans. We like to eat in frequently and were able to prepare our meals easily. A ten minute drive takes you down into Nerja if you want a larger town to explore or prefer large supermarkets to do your shopping. WiFi is available in the apartment if you sign on for it and pay. It was very reliable. Unfortunately, we could not get it to connect with the TV and provide a signal. We managed without it. The grounds were very nice and were being tidied up while we were there. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it. Parking is at a premium and it is often difficult to get a space close to the apartment building.

Wir hatten ehrlich gesagt etwas anderes erwartet. Nach den tollen Fotos haben wir gedacht, es gäbe eine Terrasse mit Panorama-Aussicht zur Wohnung gehörend, gab es aber leider nicht. Die Wohnung war insgesamt ziemlich dunkel und es gab jeweils vom Wohnzimmer- und Schlafzimmer aus eine Miniterrasse mit seitlichem Blick auf die Berge bis nach Nerja, aber schön zu zweit sitzen konnte man dort nicht. Es gab einen "Innenhof", in dem man sitzen und essen konnte, sehr schattig, was im Sommer sicher angenehm ist, aber auch irgendwie ungemütlich, weil man von drei Seiten von meterhohen Fassaden eingerahmt wurde. Insgesamt war die Wohnung irgendwie schmuddelig und die Betreuung vor Ort war unfreundlich und nicht gerade hilfsbereit. Wir haben es dann mit den Fragen gelassen und uns lieber selbst geholfen. Frigliana selbst ist toll und ein Urlaub dort jederzeit empfehlenswert, aber vielleicht nicht gerade in dieser Wohnung. Am Tag nach der Anreise haben wir uns erstmal selbst eine Kaffeemaschine gekauft, weil es keine in der Wohnung gab. W-Lan hatten wir auch nicht, obwohl es angeblich funktionieren sollte, tat es aber nicht. Wir sollten dann selbst beim Provider anrufen und das klären. Mit nur geringen Spanisch-Kenntnissen ist das nicht gerade ein leichtes Unterfangen und wir haben es dann lieber ganz gelassen.

Just returned from 10 days in Frigiliana and what a gem this apartment is!

We used Home away for the first time and any apprehensions were soon pushed aside. Clive the owner was very informative and helpful before our visit and we were met at the apartment by Sue his caretaker. The property is very clean, spacious and ideally situated in a quiet gated complex of approx 40 apartments. The pool never had more than 10 in and we were quite often the only ones; even in August! Frigiliana is one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited, very friendly with a great sense of community, an abundance of restaurants and stunning scenery. We would Iove to come back and explore more of the area. I have no hesitation in recommending this property.

L'appartement était conforme à la description et aux photos. Nous avons apprécié l'emplacement de Frigiliana, lieu plus calme que Nerja ou Malaga, avec des petites ruelles très typiques. Il n'est pas toujours facile de se garer surtout le soir. La piscine de la résidence est appréciable. Concernant l'appartement. il est correct. Nous aurions apprécié avoir la TV espagnole et internet gratuit fonctionnel. Attention petite subtilité : le paiement est en £ et non en €, pensez donc à faire la conversion.

Great location

Great little apartment with direct access to the old town, close to the public pool and near all the restaurants. Quiet and cool. Very clean. Very friendly owner and helpful. My only suggestion would be to have an easier free internet access with another companyas I couldn't connect with the current set up for some reason. Location was very good and loved Frigiliana. A great base to explore and relax too. Highly reccommended.

Beautiful property, great location!

We loved our stay here. The property is clean, comfortable and very central in Frigiliana. The outside space - courtyard, gardens, pools - was beautiful and so relaxing. It couldn't have been any easier really. Very good value for money. Clive, the owner, is very responsive and super helpful, as was his caretaker Sue, who greeted us on our arrival. This was our third time visiting Frigiliana and we are big fans of the service provided by Owners Direct. This occasion was no different - very enjoyable and everything is made easy. We'll definitely be returning, maybe even to this property if it is free! Thanks again for a lovely stay! Linda & Matt
