"Wonderful break in the countryside. Friendly and helpful receptionist. Not too far from Newcastle’s beaches. Would have been helpful if room type description had more information about kitchen facilities. We weren’t sure if it had a hob/ oven (which it did in the 2-bedroom). Had to make another trip to the shops for Appropriate food once we sure of facilities. "

"This was a really maginificent place to stay in the heart of Morpeth. It's in a fabulous historic building. The rooms are big, the bed is comfy and there's a great guest lounge. "Telephone disrupted our sraybevery day missing calls and unknown persons calling we gave to call Reception and disengage unit. Friday night and Saturday the noise coming from the restaurant till midnight make us impossible to rest and sleep , no wonder we found earplugs in room , we sincerely believe that we deserve a refund and an apology , the cleaning service was good but the above make our stay during Friday night and Saturday miserable "

"Okay i am going to be honest and hopefully this review will benefit all, if the Rydges management are watching. We stayed two nights in one of villas as a couple. Overall we had a great stay however i will go into more detail. "Very clean. The staff were excellent. Room service food was delicious and delivered piping hot and quickly. Facility is aged and needs some basic maintenance, there was a tear in the carpet which was a trip hazard. The beds were comfortable and the air con worked beautifully. Overall I would recommend staying here for the cleanliness and comfort. "

"We were impressed with our accommodation from the minute we arrived. It was very surprising to find a garage attached to the apartment and this made unpacking quick and easy. Our apartment was spacious, clean and quiet. The Sports Bar is conveniently located for a quiet drink and meal. The surrounding area is great for walks and kangaroo spotting. We will definitely stay next time we visit the Hunter Valley"

"The motel has been renovated with a great bathroom, kitchenette and reverse cycle aircon. Although quite a small space in the queen unit it was quite comfortable and warm and despite being on a, at times, busy road the room was fairly quiet. Staff were great. Reasonable tariff. "
