"Carina Bay was lovely. If you’re looking for a place to relax and enjoy, Carina Bay is it. The all inclusive resort served good food. If you don’t eat pork, breakfast will disappoint you. I went during the spring/summer months. The seaweed smelled awful. It almost ruined the entire experience. Winter months are better for staying at the resort because they don’t have winter and there is no seaweed."

"Everything was excellent. Our room was oceanfront, on the corner, next to trees. I think if the door seal & cracks throughout the room were properly sealed. It would minimize the small pest (bugs, small centipedes, etc) from getting in. We laid towels in front both doors. Helped tremendously. We will definitely be returning."

"I had a wonderful stay in St. Croix. The hotel room was clean, spacious, and had an amazing ocean view that made every morning feel relaxing. The bed was comfortable, and the room stayed cool even during the warmer afternoons. The air conditioning went out for 1 day due to an old system when one room turns it off it shuts down all the rooms but i am not a big fan of air conditioning so I was fine. "From the time we booked to checkout, the experience was absolutely excellent. Delia ensured we had everything we needed even before we areived. During our stay Melissa, Angela, Paula and I know I'm leaving someone out provided a great bar and good experience. We were there during a slower time so it felt like we had a private resort. The beach is beautiful. We will definitely choose to stay there again on our next trip."

The bed is actually a queen The room reeked of cleaning chemicals to the point of making your eyes water. There was barely a trickle of luke warm water in the shower. "Everyone we encountered were pleasant and helpful. The food was great. As a senior, this facility was very remote when touring the island and driving on the left side of the road was challenging at times. Also, the elevator doesn't work so getting to the other levels was challenging. Julie, the manager went out of her way to accommodate us."

"Truly, this property is stunning. I can't imagine it is possible to have a room with a bigger balcony or better view anywhere else on St. Croix. For privacy, The Waves gets an A++ and the onsite restaurant, AMA, is spectacular. That being said, after our initial awe, we did run into some frustrations. "Convenient location. Many nearby restaurants and shops. However, will need car to go to best beaches but street parking was found every night. Overall a nice property to stay and take advantage of what downtown Christiansted has to offer. The town does have a couple of homeless individuals lurking around and that may make one feel a little bit exposed. Nevertheless, property is gated and only accessible with key cards. "I would stay here again. We were here 9 years ago and loved it! It was just as good this time. Views are wonderful, beach is very nice and not crowded, bartender Connor was excellent and food truck was delicious!! We fell in love with the cats around our cabin.
