"This home was like an home away from home and a good place to stay while attending an event in Johnson City. The host even left some drinks and snacks which was thoughtful."

"We needed somewhere to unwind that we could also take our three fur babies. Couldn't have asked for a better escape! The sunrises, the sunsets, The horses right out the window. Just enough modern convenience blended in to an 1880's escape. Our fur babies loved the walks of the gravel driveway every morning and night. The horses would come over to greet us. Cuddling up to a warm fire was just the perfect touch to end each day. We plan to come back!"

"Lovely peaceful setting on the river, quiet country setting. Access to surrounding towns was easy and I appreciated the list of businesses you provided. The views from the balconies were great as well. Managing the stairs with luggage was a bit challenging. Would be nice if owners could build out a bit of a landing zone at door height for luggage to sit on while you open the door. That was such a tiny part of the visit, it wouldn’t prevent me from staying again though. Overall I enjoyed the...

"The home itself is wonderful and clean with everything you need right there. It was so nice to have everything available to cook with and especially having the linens already provided. I would recommend this place for a fun adult trip or with older children. We had our 3 year old and it was tough getting to and from the dock on the lake walking a good ways down a steep hill and a long flight of steps to fish or canoe. "This is a very special cabin. It's perfect if you want to get away and have quiet time. I say "quiet", but it's not actually quiet since you have the constant, wonderful sound of waterfalls in Spillcorn Creek right next to the house.The pictures on the website don't do the house justice. It's very comfortable with a wonderful ambience. It's also a great place for dogs with a safe field to play in and water right there to splash in. "Highlights from the porch: great blue heron, beaver swimming upstream with branch, geese with six goslings visiting every morning. Truly beautiful. I enjoyed my stay. I was out and about during the day. The location is very convenient and it was easy to get to Johnson City and Blountville to visit family.
