"Don was very welcoming but gave us privacy. The location had beautiful views of a pond, forest, and an open field. Our dog loved running in the field and we loved seeing a herd of elk one evening at dusk. The cabin was charming, had everything we needed, was clean, well maintained, and just what we wanted. We would love to come back again!"

The hot tub was perfect after a long day of exploring:) The house is close to town and great home base for adventuring into the rain forest as well as out to the coast. "The host, David, was very kind and communicated well. The space was very cozy and I knew what to expect based on the photos. I really enjoyed using the kitchen, as it was well stocked with helpful supplies. The location is top-notch! I stayed here and loved having quick access to restaurants in Port Angeles, as well as good birding locations! I woke up to at least 10 bird species in the trees out the windows! "

I was a bit surprised when I found out later that this particular room to book is just a room with its own entrance attached to a house. I found that I would have appreciated that being stated a little more clearly, but perhaps I didn’t read all the details that well. "From the moment we drove up it was exciting and exactly what we were wanting.. a place in nature, quiet and beautiful after a long day playing in nature…. The lodge is eclectic, warm and welcoming… the first night there was only one other guest who stayed in their room, so we basically had the place to ourselves as we sat at the table and played games and cozied by the fire and just enjoyed the evening…. We were in the loft room with nobody next to us so again the top floor was all to ourselves...
