"While close to town center getting there requires a walk up a very steep hill--not suitable for old people. The hotel was helpful in terminating our stay after one day. A well placed hotel for younger people requiring a basic hotel. Breafast was good. Evening menu should be avoided."

"We booked a last minute break as the weather was expected to be great and this little hotel and pub turned out to be every bit as good as the weather. The room was quite compact but equally very comfortable, and had the benefit of a balcony over looking the estuary and boat yard. The afternoon entertainment in the garden was really good as was the fresh fish, prawns and oysters served from the garden bar. "Asked for early check in with them which was accepted by them . Got there only to be told couldn’t have room till 2 which made us late for wedding . Towel rail was full on which made room unbearably hot went to reception asking them to turn it off which they never did no sleep as room was sweltering."

"What a delightful place to stay for a short break in the Suffolk borders! Beautiful spacious rooms and first class restaurant food at dinner to complement the generous breakfast options.
The staff were unfailingly helpful and friendly. We were pleasantly surprised how good the value for money was and we belatedly realised this is part of the same group as another of our favourites, The Maltings in Weybourne..
We are already planning a return visit in the near future it was so...
