"This is a lovely little pub the grounds are well kept but unfortunately our bathroom was extremely damp and the smell was unbearable, we called reception and they came and sprayed in there but there was definitely an underlying issue going on as there was a big damp patch on the ceiling, there was also lots of cobwebs in the bedroom, the shower had very little power, the good points are the carpet was lovely and soft, the tv had a good signal, there was a mini fridge and tea & coffee making...

"For the price very happy with the hotel. The room size was impressive. Only downside. Toilet had a drip."

"The property requires updating and is disorganised. The quality of breakfast was poor although there was plenty of choice. A number of staff were helpful Ebonie in the restaurant and a gentleman in reception."

"Very dated rooms & uncomfortable beds no air conditioning or fan. Breakfast only available 8.30 -9 am even though the information card in the room states 8.30-9.30, was told this is only at weekends? So why doesn’t information card state this? Two of us went for breakfast after 9 and was refused. Chef was only able to make a bacon sandwich. Coffee was thick and gloopy and undrinkable . I have never stayed at a B&B with a 30 mins breakfast window. We stayed one night to attend a Wedding at...

"Beautiful guest house …very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful rooms, lovely and clean, with mini bar …and they little details in the rooms like Disaronno liquor ….a little Italian restaurant situated downstairs. Maldon is a beautiful village, with little shops and restaurants just around the corner, I would also highly recommend Mrs Salisburys for food & service too which is just around the corner on the high street. Parking is also available. "

"My brother and I have the same initial and surname. We both booked rooms for one night. I booked the last room with air conditioning. I emailed them 48 hours prior to arrival reminding them not to confuse us and to give me the aircon room I had booked and paid for. BUT they gave him the room instead of me.!! When I pointed out the mistake, the manager suggested I get my brother to pack up his stuff and move to the room they’d given me. I pointed out to the manager that it is bad practice to give...
