"Lovely staff and nice hotel - clean and nice decor. There was a lack of staff on the bar, it was a Saturday evening and we had difficulty ordering food. The restaurant was full . We ordered bar food that took ages to arrive and was of very poor quality and cold ."

"The Woolpack Inn excelled in a lot of areas,especially with respect to parking nearby, with good food throughout and a comfortable and quiet room/suite with good furnishings, TV, kettle, bathroom-shower facilities. The staff were very helpful and the guest breakfast area very nice and friendly. If travelling again to a nearby area I would stay again if the prices remain competitive and standards maintained. "We had a wonderful stay here. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with a modern ensuite. The pub itself was charming in a beautiful area,the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was made to order with a variety of choices and the dinner was absolutely delicious. As a group of four having a ladies get away it was absolutely perfect. We would all highly recommend a visit here."

"This was an overnighter but rather wish we stayed longer! It’s a lovely family run hotel and we were warmly welcomed in. Our rooms were beautifully made up with all you could need in them. The bar area was intimate and cosy, the gardens gorgeous and the dining room light and airy. It is so quiet you don’t realise you are in the centre of a city. The high street is on your doorstep, cathedral a few minutes walk away as is the railway station. There is a lovely park to the rear of the property and...
