"Great and helpful staff, really good beers and food, air con in the bar area which was fantastic after a hot day hiking. Superb location for Moel Siabod. A few teething problems as we attended after a revamp, staff were very keen to help attend to these. Only improvement is the quality of the packed lunches, which were a little uninspiring for £12.50!"

"The first room had a leak but there wasn't a problem moving us. The location is just stunning. Didn't stay for breakfast. But overall a pleasant stay."

"Check in was fast and efficient. The room was clean, although it only had a small window there was a door to the courtyard we could open. The bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. The shower was fine and there was a good beverage tray with biscuits. Breakfast was quite chaotic with food not being replenished and tables not being cleared and cleaned. However the cooked breakfast was tasty."

Having advised of the circumstances we were told that breakfast would be served promptly at 8 which would have allowed us to eat breakfast in time but another guest advised at 8 the chef had just arrived so breakfast was available from 8 but by the time it had been cooked we didn't have enough time to eat it. "This place was just amazing, it really did exceed my expectations. The train station is literally on the door step, everything is in walking distance, the mountain walk is so close too.
