The place is in desperate need of a deep clean. It’s not that it was dirty when we checked in—it was definitely cleaned after the previous guests—but it’s covered in food marks, dirty fingerprints, grime, and stains. I believe that 2–3 hours of good scrubbing would fix all the problems and make the place enjoyable.
It also requires many little fixes, which shouldn’t take more than a few hours:
Bathroom – Broken towel rail and nowhere to hang a towel. The shower holder is broken, so even though the water pressure is fantastic, you can’t really use the shower because it sprays water all over the bathroom. The toilet seat is wonky.
Kitchen – The jug only works if you punch it. All the kitchen appliances are so dirty we were afraid to touch them. Cabinet door is broken.
Lounge – The couch is so stained we had to cover it. The door card doesn’t work, so you need to use a key, which goes into the lock at a very awkward angle, meaning you need a free hand to open the door.
Bedroom – The bed is hard as a brick, but that’s normal in Thailand, so no complaints there. One pillow is fine, but the other is so old and manky it has lost all its shape.
To be honest, I wouldn’t stay here again unless the place was cleaned properly.
Positives – The air conditioning works well, and the water pressure is great.
