"The hotel had a charming, nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere, featuring a lavish buffet dinner and comfortable, relaxing rooms. Our room included both a Western-style bedroom with beds and a traditional Japanese-style room with futons, so we could choose whichever was more comfortable. There were plenty of activities to enjoy at the hotel, including fishing, swimming in the pool, and candle-making workshops. We also had fun with the treasure hunt and mystery-solving games held throughout the hotel....

"The Ryokan itself is very nice, the entrance is very beautiful, the staff is wonderful above average even in Japanese standards, particularly Nanami the room attendant was absolutely top notch impecable service. Do consider this Ryokan is in the middle of the town so no views from the public bath and there is some traffic noise, there was also some noise due to demolition work right next door, it ended around 5pm and restarted at around 8:30am. The room does have an amazing view to the beach and...

"Nice staff, but not so easy to get to it. First thing first. We drove to this hotel in Atami City. However this place was up on the hill, and tough to find and reached for foreigners like us. If you plan to go there by train, you may need to call a uber, otherwise you might have a very hard time to get there… Other than that, the place is a little old, and smelly. Our kids didn’t like it much. On the other hand, the owner/staff was very friendly! Also telling us to reach to them anytime (24/7)...
