"The Moorland Hotel is fabulous. We would definitely recommend it and when we visit the area again we will stay here without hesitation. The food was excellent and the staff were welcoming. Although we didn't take a dog we saw some in the hotel and they were well catered for with a wash station outside (for after a long walk), plenty of water bowls, treats, spare leads, harness and blankets etc. All in all, at the end of our stay we felt rested and relaxed. You can't ask for much more than that."

"I had the best stay here for theEaster holiday weekend! It was such a beautiful property in a stunning location with incredible views! It’s a dog friendly hotel and they were so nice to my dog who I brought with us. Every single person who is part of the hotel staff is so lovely, helpful and kind!!! Amazing customer service!! The breakfast and Dinners that we had at the restaurant were all so delicious!! Will come back to stay again! 10/10!!"

"We stayed two weekends, 23rd and 30th The staff were very good at their job. When we were staying above incredibly volatile and inebriated guests on the first weekend, it was dealt with quickly. Unfortunately the next night another guest set off the fire alarm at 1am. The second weekend was faultless- thoughtful guests same excellent staff Clientelle interesting, staff incredibly professional and kind. Under refurb, so slightly odd vibe, the price was very good because of it. Close to...

"Absolutely fabulous few days away. This is a real gem of a hotel. Quiet and secluded but a real joy to experience. The staff are so helpful and genuine (Rosie, Sharon and Oliver deserve medals) There was plenty of choice for breakfast, the cooked breakfast was tasty and well presented. The evening dinner menu and quality of food was 10/10. I think it could be even better with a slightly extended menu. We will be back x"

"Really comfortable B&B, the owners were really hospitable and the breakfasts were prob one of the best I have ever had. Dog friendly and super cute that they provided dog treats in the room. Only small thing is the jacuzzi was wood fired and they needed 6 hours notice if you wanted to use it and felt there was a bit of reluctance around asking to use it. "
