"This was the second time that I have stayed here. The hotel is well worn - don't expect a new out-of-the-box chain hotel - but the staff are excellent and the view is superb. To sit at breakfast and look out over the bay cannot be matched by hotels in Lancaster or on the motorway. It's not much more than 15 minutes by car from the M6, parking is free and the sea is just over the road."

"I stayed at the Fenwick a couple of times now travelling on business and enjoyed my stays. The rooms are very well presented and always nice a warm. Good food, especially breakfast. I think the road outside does not do the hotel any favours, but once your inside you can forget the road."

What really impressed me about the hotel was the extra details everywhere to make it really welcoming and easy for families. Toys, games, high chairs, ramps and accesible options - and even some secret doors for elves & fairies hidden around the place. "Overall the stay was fine, nothing alarming. Hotel looked really nice as we entered. However, the quality and standard of rooms were below expectations of a high reviewed/ star hotel. One example being the bathroom, shower heads were not consistent in the water pressure and so caused a lot of spraying all across. "Room was clean, the decor was in need of a refresh. The carpet on the stairs leading up to the rooms is very off putting and had me worried about the room itself. So I was pleasantly surprised. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was ok, plenty of hot water and the shower was great. Breakfast was very good and the staff were pleasant. "

"The Daffodil Hotel is a really decent hotel, we came for our little honeymoon. Room was very clean, reception staff very welcoming and the beds are comfortable. We loved the view from our window of the lake and hills. Gorgeous location! Only issues was we had no fridge in our room, not having somewhere cold to store our 'bottled gifts' we brought from our wedding was disappointing. Also the reception lounge bar was closed constantly, its a shame as we fancied a nice cocktail and snack to...
