"This has been on my bucket list for some time. We had a wounderful 2 night stay and everything was perfect. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable, larger than alot of hotel rooms. You lay in bed at night and could imagine your travelling on a train. The meal was excellent, Beef Wellington to die for, so good and wonderful surroundings in a 1906 Pullman car exquisitely restored. The staff were brilliant and extremely helpful. Alot of history tied up in this place."

"We enjoyed a 2 night stay in one of the newly refurbished bedrooms (Room 5). The room was furnished to a high standard with a modern bathroom and excellent walk-in shower. The staff were uniformly friendly and efficient with a good selection of beers and spirits at the bar. We ate dinner one night and the food was well cooked and of a very good quality. "We were delayed due to train issues but were still welcomed by their staff though we arrived late in the evening. Their rooms are very comfortable and welcoming. What's unique about the Oakhurst Gatwick was their invitation the night before to complete a menu which allowed their chef the next morning to customize your hot meal breakfast, according to your tastes. As a smaller hotel, the atmosphere at breakfast was peaceful, personalized and refreshing. "
