"Our family of eight, plus a pet dog loved being in this home. The fenced in back yard was great for the pup and we enjoyed an evening outside around the patio table chatting, laughing, and catching up. The home was spacious indoors so we didn't feel like we were crowded. Such a cool older home. The home was clean and well stocked. The owner was very good with corresponding. The location was great as we walked to a couple local restaurants and was convenient for our trips to the State Fair...

"visited with my girlfriend and Lynne went out of her way to accommodate us. it’s just a simple cabin, not a hotel room, but the listing was completely clear about all the details. it was exactly what we were looking for. the cabin was comfortable and the view is worth the whole thing."

"We had a wonderful time on our girls trip at your cabin. It was very relaxing, and there was a lot of property to explore. We saw some wildlife, which was pretty cool and the starry nights were beautiful. Definitely a much needed vacation! "

"The Jackson River Estate was the perfect getaway for our 2025 Family Reunion. The estate is very spacious and provides magnificent views. There is river access but the water is cold. The pool and slide were a big hit! Cole’s Point (beach), the humpback bridge and waterfall were super close and great excursions. This location is great for families that like to be outdoors…hiking, fishing, kayaking…Check-in/out was super easy. Although we heard there might have been a bear, there was no sighting....

"We booked for a sibling birthday retreat- traveling from Texas, NC and Va. The house was quaint, comfortable ( chairs on porch not so much- would have liked rocking chairs as advertised as the weather was perfect for spending time there). "We were visiting Marlinton, WV to bicycle ride the Greenbriar Trail. This house was perfect as you could ride to the trail within a few minutes. The house is also close to restaurants and a bike shop. The bed was very comfortable. The bed and bathroom linens were excellent. There is a cute kitchen with all the equipment you would need for a meal. Also chilled mugs for your beer. Overall we had a great stay and will be recommending to our friends. "

"This was our third stay at the cabin and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We are an outdoors family. We fished, kayaked, hiked and just relaxed on the porches enjoying the scenery. My family is looking forward to returning next year. "

"What a beautiful property. The area was quiet, the cabin was impeccably clean, and it was so fun to be around all the farm animals. The barn cats were lovely and kept us company the evening we had a fire. Should we be passing through the area, we will most definitely be staying again!"
