"This is an old hotel (1930s) in the mountain town of Fairplay Colorado. Quaint, a little rustic, but our stay (1 night) was quite pleasant. Everything worked fine and the breakfast (an additional $15) was delicious - fresh fruit, a choice of freshly cooked egg dishes, meats and pastry. In a throwback to an earlier time, no TVs in the rooms (no hardship for us). Staff are delightful. We will stay there when we pass that way again "

"The room was very charming, with a private balcony. The second floor lobby was very comfortable for eating and lounging. The hotel supplies hot water for tea or hot chocolate at all times, plus all plates, bowls, mugs, and silverware, and with a fridge and microwave in the room, it was very easy to prepare simple meals there. It's an easy walk to Main Street or to the Peak 8 gondola."
