"Dinner was amazing. The service was awesome. Loved all the quirky things to look at throughout both the pub area and our bedroom. Wish we could stay longer to explore these more. Nice little touches like pot pouri in the bathroom. Comfortable bed for a good night sleep. "

"This hotel was a real find. Very friendly staff, our room was very comfortable with lovely toiletries and bathroom extras in a bag. We were taken to our room by a very nice man who left fresh milk and home baked cookies. Our meal was excellent and the breakfast freshly cooked, and quite a lot of choice."

"Friendly staff, proper country pub vibes but lovely and quiet room that was clean and comfy. Parking was a little confusing as the car park is very small, but road parking is available all around. Shower was a bit low on pressure but a personal preference. Would strongly recommend to anyone visiting the area or heading further south/west as a stop over!"

"The hotel was booked for a couple of nights stay, it was a lovely quiet location with the garden beside a brook running through the village. The room was at the back of the hotel was very quiet aswell, the only concern was the shower cubicle was a bit small, but to be fair couldn't be any larger in the room. The food was very good and reasonably priced, the breakfast was also very good-quite large. On our experience we would definitely recommend, the superb weather helped considerably, ample...

"Nicely furnished room, comfortable bed and excellent shower. All staff friendly and accommodating. Wide range of dining options for dinner, breakfast a great spread available and recommend the breakfast bap. Tiny minus point, my wife’s eggs Benedict had overdone eggs. Would definitely revisit. "

"Fabulous property in a quiet rural location. Wonderful welcome by Eve. Room big, recently refurbished, lovely bed, spotlessly clean. Milk, water, orange juice in fridge and homemade cookies (with full moon logo) Amazing breakfast, beautifully cooked and presented (all local produce and delicious) Highly recommend this gem of a place. "Hidden away only a couple of miles from the lovely market town of Sturminster Newton, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Justin is a lovely host and we were incredibly well looked after. Super full English breakfast and Good amenities in the room. Highly recommended."

"You need a shop to sell the toiletries available for guests as well as local beers and ciders and cakes and biscuits. And perhaps links to local artists; prints make good souvenirs. "

"Staff were a delight the entire stay. Room (1) was beautiful and clean, with windows on 3 sides (excellent for a breeze), lovely roll top bed, comfy mattress and very nice modern bathroom. Bathrobes were a nice touch. Ate at the hotel Saturday night and it was superb. Scotch egg was delicious, pork fabulous and the pizza was gorgeous. Excellent wine selection and utterly superb soft drink (bottles in the fridge) range. Breakfast was really good. Yoghurt, fruits and cereal, then cooked...
