"Fantastic little BnB. A friend an I were visiting Paul Nicholls' racing stable in Ditcheat, and we didn't know how difficult the walk was along the A-road.
Upon hearing we were going, the owner offered to give us a lift in the morning after breakfast (which was also brilliant). Made us feel welcome from the get-go. Thank you for the stay!"

The Staff were brilliant, we received a warm welcome on arrival and nothing was too much trouble. We had the a la carte menu on the first night which was delicious and pizzas from the pizza kitchen on the second - also delicious. "We went with our children, who are 5 and 2. The family room we stayed at was big and spacious, so was the bathroom. All beds were comfortable, and they even had a cot ready for our 2yo. The children had a blast playing at the large play area while seeing the goats and alpacas. Breakfast was included and it was pretty good. The only downside was that, even though they have wifi, we had no signal in our room, so we could only go online (wifi or otherwise) at the restaurant and common areas."

"What I think is some sort of old coaching inn with a great car park a nice garden, a pizza oven in the garden and a outstanding selection of beers and ciders. A great base for exploring inland Somerset. "

"The hotel was booked for a couple of nights stay, it was a lovely quiet location with the garden beside a brook running through the village.
The room was at the back of the hotel was very quiet aswell, the only concern was the shower cubicle was a bit small, but to be fair couldn't be any larger in the room.
The food was very good and reasonably priced, the breakfast was also very good-quite large.
On our experience we would definitely recommend, the superb weather helped considerably, ample...

"What an absolute treat The Red Lion is. I went of pervious reviews and it didn’t disappoint. In fact it exceeded my expectations, what a gem of a place. The Staff were simple amazing, David and Jasmine were fantastic and always on hand of we needed anything. The rooms are so comfortable and modern, the Breakfast was fabulous and the food in the pub was outstanding. My only problem is that I won't have the homemade biscuits that were in the room, tonight with my cuppa tea when i am at home."

"we had a great stay at the Red Lion. Amazing food. Very comfortable bed and good quality linens. But I think the staff was the key to all this success they were lovely and helpful. If only one thing I would improve is the water pressure in the bathroom. There isn't any :)"

We booked a garden suite where we could park outside and had a little court yard area with chairs to enjoy the summer sun. we had access to the gym and pool, steam room and sauna which was a lovely way to end our day. The staff were helpful and happy to help when we had any questions. Would definitely recommend and stay here again if we were in the area "

"Staff were a delight the entire stay. Room (1) was beautiful and clean, with windows on 3 sides (excellent for a breeze), lovely roll top bed, comfy mattress and very nice modern bathroom.
Bathrobes were a nice touch.
Ate at the hotel Saturday night and it was superb.
Scotch egg was delicious, pork fabulous and the pizza was gorgeous.
Excellent wine selection and utterly superb soft drink (bottles in the fridge) range.
Breakfast was really good. Yoghurt, fruits and cereal, then cooked...

Just as well we were already awake though as they were sawing up wood to make decking below our room window at 7.15 am…"
