Beautiful location, great historical house, huge rooms, and a nice spa. As a whole, a great stay, although it could do with some maintenance and a bit more eye to detail. Staff were wonderful and very helpful.

Stayed in the manor house although checked in at the Club reception. No restaurant open, just the Club cafe, which was disappointing. Huge room and huge, comfy bed with large bathroom.

This is horror hotel. Expedia information does not relate to the property, run down and awful, asked for a refund and point blank no. Don't go here is my alive.

We booked a 2 night stay here as a base to take my niece to longleat, which was about 30 mi utes drive. The hotel and grounds were lovely. We had booked a king sized bed, but the allocated room had only a double bed. We complained the following morning, and when we returned that evening our room had been changed and we were offered a complimentary drink and snack each! There were some areas that could do with a little maintenance/attention to details. But all in all we enjoyed our stay here. Please note if staying with children, check the times for the pool.

Room was ok really. Had two fans which were a bit pathetic with room being so hot. Disappointed that no restaurant was available or bar for hotel guests. No choice but to go out to eat due to the Ants crawling around the cafe on site. Very doubtful we would stay again.

Nice place lovely venue. In need of a bit of tlc looking a bit tired. Bit weird that bar is only open if there is a function on. Luckily there was for us. No air con in bed room. But room was good size Cheap and cheerful

A property of former grandeur that is now a little rough around the edges! Our room was spacious with an excellent view of the garden but seemed to be at the furthest and highest extremity of the building. The bathroom facilities were excellent and the shower was great. The leisure centre was a bonus along with the provision of bathrobes. The staff were polite and helpful but seemed a bit stretched. We enjoyed a stroll round the grounds.

The room was very nicely presented, light and very cosy and warm. The staff were very helpful, kathy helped us out lots and assisted us with whatever we needed. Access to the pool and various spa activities was a good addition as well. Lovely place and well recommeded, will deffinetely stay again.

We booked to stay at this hotel for 2 nights, we arrived on Friday afternoon and were shown ir room. I had booked a garden room (rooms away from the main building) which I soon realised had been very strategically photographed. The room was big but very dated but we didn’t mind as we would be at a wedding rehearsal that evening and the wedding the next day so little time spent in the room. On initial view I noticed the carpet was really dirty and there was no toilet roll, the member of staff at reception offered a different room in the main house. We said we’d like to see it but it was much smaller with a double bed, so decided to take the other room back but asked for it to be cleaned. When we got back to the garden room we realised how dirty it was. The toilet was disgusting, there were nail clippings in the bathroom and opened bottles of water had been left on the tray in the kitchen. After highlighting this, the receptionist then showed us the room next door. It was cleaner, but the carpet still had not been cleaned so he grabbed the Henry and vacuumed, and again had to replace the water bottles as they had also been left. I wouldn’t stay here again. The staff were helpful but the place is tired and grubby. I wish I had read the reviews properly before booking.

They staff were very helpful and polite, how ever our room I wouldn’t personally say was £120s worth of room. There was mold at the bottom of the unit and looks like the roof was ready to collapse. Windows were blow so awful to look out off, cracked tiles in the bathroom and bath was also damaged. I probably wouldn’t stay here again as I feel I could have booked somewhere else and had a better room. Slightly unhappy as this was a getaway for my girlfriends birthday and the pictures online made the room look better than it was 2/10

Lovely building but felt neglected and tired. Makeshift entrance through the gym wasn’t great either. Breakfast is cold and dreadful so eat it elsewhere. Lovely cafes in town
