"This is by far equivalent to a 5 Star hotel. The only word that could best describe the entire experience is exquisite. Gwen and Sheila (mother/daughter) were so personable. The room was perfect and the breakfast was healthy and such a beautiful presentation. We loved relaxing in the hot tub while we were washing our clothes in the washer and dryer they provided. If their goal was perfection, they nailed it! Also a bonus was a fabulous and healthy restaurant within 5 miles called South Side...

"The owners of the house were so engaging and kind. We spoke of their children and grandchildren. Our room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and hot, coffee was tasty. We would return again if at all possible on our next overnight stay in Anchorage. "

"Jewel Lake is our home away from home when in Alaska. Cook yourself breakfast is good. Nice laundry facilities. This is convenient to airport. Bus stops across the street. Lyft and Uber are available."

"The room was very comfortable and had all the amenities that one might expect in a suite. The staff was wonderful & helpful - going out of their way both at checkin as well as during the stay. The hotel is conveniently located with easy access to major roads and attractions. I would strongly recommend. And will stay again when next in Anchorage."

"Appreciated the helpful shuttle drivers and the check in staff were wonderful too. Bed was very comfortable, room was quite clean."

"The day we checked in and as we almost made it to our room, the fire alarm went off. With luggage in hand we ran down the stairs and found the outdoor exit with another guest. We made our way to the front of the building and learned it was a false alarm, thank goodness. Anyway, fun times :-) The staff is wonderful and kind. Breakfast was wonderful with optoons to have omelets made the way you want, and pancakes too. Our room was clean and quite. Overall, great stay."

"Great 2 bedroom with lots of space. Makes you feel like you’re in a home versus hotel. Quieter area than some, but we like it. Parking is easy. "

"The host was very accommodating, the rooms were nice, the other guests were respectful and quiet. The price was affordable. The area surrounding the hotel isn’t the greatest but I never felt unsafe. I would absolutely stay there again."

"Loved how big and beautiful the rooms were, and all the amenities...fridge, microwave, kitchen. We wished we were staying longer! It is made for cooking in though, as there isn't a restaurant on property."

"So much better than the downtown hotels we stayed in. The hotels downtown are older and run down and crawling with cruise passengers. This is a newer hotel: clean, well lit, quiet, fun, nicely decorated, nice staff, good vibe. You can't walk a lot of places and the view is of a gas station, but of the four hotels I stayed in on a trip to Anchorage, this is the only one I would book again. 5 minute drive to everything."
