When you are fortunate enough to stay in such an area it is good to stay somewhere that is in sympathy with its surroundings. The Castle and Ball stands proud on the high street and is sympathetic to all the surrounding period properties. Time has missed many beats in Marlborough. The hotel is central to such modern day amenities as Waitrose and even there it is like stepping back...

"Llegamos un domingo, y no se si es que no habia servicio de limpieza ese dia o que, pero el baño estaba completamente sin limpiar, el espejo daba pena de lo sucio que estaba, y el suelo solo un poco barrido.
