HOUSE DESCRIPTION
Very nice, clean and compact, air-conditioned two bedroom townhouse with living room and fully equipped kitchen, placed on first floor with 1st floor terrace area, located in unique and rather unknown Spanish paradise village named El Mojón. House has got two bathrooms with ground flor one equipped with washing machine. Comfortable occupation of the house for 4 visitors. Maximum of 6 people is possible with occupancy of Living Room in such a case.

A WORD ABOUT LOCAL AREA
This former old fishing village has got very fine sandy beaches and is located just on the border of the natural reserve of Las Salinas and Arenales de San Pedro. That gives a plenty of opportunities for walking tours along the sea on the natural beach with a "North Sea Dunes" or along the salt ponds to explore bird sanctuary with pink flamingos and other rare birds. If you dream of tranquillity, stunning wide well-kept, safe beaches, good food and beautiful scenery that is undoubtedly place for you. The neighbourhood is a quiet area, all with low housing.

Apartment and surrounding area is perfectly suited for quiet and relaxing family time. Close distance to local restaurants, pub, local shop, beach bars and stalls. In walking distance from the house there is Pinatar Area (Sport Health Centre) with gym, spa and pools. As a curiosity, especially for football lovers this football centre hosts big European Football Clubs for pre-season preparation camp.

This beautiful and unique area of Spain is quite unknown to many people, and perhaps Spain's best kept secret, with the beautiful varied landscapes with almond trees, orange groves, palm trees and especially pleasant climate.

SURROUNDED PLACES NEAR EL MOJÓN
Not far away from El Mojón there are three very Spanish towns San Pedro del Pinatar (3km away), Tore de la Horadada (approx. 3km away) and Pilar de la Horadada (approx. 2km away) where when you get bored or get tired of the beach, water and nature you can browse around in small shops or make a visit to the local market. There is also a chance to get a touch of history of the area in local museums.

FURTHER EXPLORATION
Having a rented car will open even more options to explore surrounding areas. Approximately 10 minutes drive from El Mojón to the south there is Lo Pagan, a famous place for its therapeutic salt mud baths which are open to public and absolutely free of charge as well as Mar Menor "the world's largest pool" and place of all kinds of water sports. Calm, very warm and shallow water of Mar Menor makes it perfect for children and as an option for days when waves on the Mediterranean sea become too dangerous.

If you decide to drive northbound of El Mojón you can experience a complete change of culture. Approximately 15 min drive on N-332 will take us to Orihuella Costa with towns like Villamartin, Cabo Roig and La Zenia which brings more mixed European culture with a myriad of various restaurants and shops including the biggest shopping centre in Europe named "La Zenia Boulevard" with 150 shops and restaurants.

For mountain's lovers, after half an hour drive you can reach local mountains which protect Mar Menor area from cold winds coming from north. This area gives breathtaking beautiful panoramic views on the sea and areas around. The National Park Rio Seco is located in Pinar de Campoverde, 15 minutes drive from the house.

60km away from El Mojón lays the biggest city of Murcia region, Cartagena boasts archaeological treasures like recently discovered Roman theatre, coliseum, other ruins of Roman culture and many other attractions including big harbour and couple of interesting museums like Museum Nacional de Arqueologia Subacáutica and Museum Naval.

Murcia, approximately 45 minutes away from El Mojón is another pearl worth a visit. As Cartagena, Murcia is feast with historical buildings. This beautiful city with the its famous 14th-century Catholic Cathedral is definitely worth a trip to see it.

Other very interesting places which would be worth to see are Caravaca de la Cruz with its basilica Vera Cruz and Castle of Lorca called as well Fortress of the Sun constructed between 9th and 15th centuries.

SPORTS & LEISURE
Golf
El Mojón is located not far away from three very fine golf courses. In Pilar de la Horadada is "Lo Romero Golf" (9km), Celic Sun in La Zenia (12km) and Las Colinas Golf & Country Club (17km), which is fairly new and is Europe’s top 100th. There are another 3 or 4 golf courses within 1/2 hr drive, each with their own charm and challenges for these who wants to share resting on the beach with playing golf it seems to be option to consider.

Water Sports
In Puerto Marina de las Salinas there are dyvingclubs, Turkano and Stengray Sub, which in addition to diving and snorkelling and trips to the sea, also arranges various water sports stuff, including kite surfing and scuba diving.

Gym, Spa & Pool
Pinatar Arena in El Mojón is a nearest place for gym, spa, swimming and naturally of course for football experience.

Murcia International Airport is approx. 42km away and in terms of time around 35min driving.
