"Literally amazing, such a beautiful unit and bonus: they let you check out cool stuff in the lobby to keep for your stay, things like speakers, hot pot, birthday decor, etc!"

"This was by far our favourite accommodation in Japan. The manager was amazing and the accommodation was spacious, traditional but will all of the modern facilities. We loved it and wished we had spent more time here. In fact, once we moved to Osaka, we travelled back twice to spend time in this area and a little town called Sanjo. "

"Beautiful house in excellent condition in a nice quiet area. Everything you need is provided in the house. The phone in the house did not seem to work to call the reception though. The nearest Tofukuji Station is only a few minutes’ walk away with two convenience stores on the way. Love to return in the future; cannot recommend more!! "

"I loved my stay at Comfort Hotel. The room was very spacious and it was so affordable. My room faced the train station but I didn't hear any of the trains coming or going. This hotel offered free snacks and breverages at the huge lounge downstairs. Wonderful after a day of sightseeing around Kyoto. They also offer a free lending library. So unique. I loved the location too. This hotel is right across the street from the Toji Station. Very convient if you want to go to Nara Park or Arashiyama...

"It was interesting staying in a Japanese house. Really enjoyed that. However the location was not practical sunce we had to taxi to Gion. I was unable to enjoy the beautiful bath since the water was only lukewarm and I tried many times and yes, I pressed the water red button as instructed"

"Very new and neat hotel. The rooms were nice and clean, the hot pool was very nice and clean. the staff were friendly and helpful. The only drawback was that the breakfast buffet was limited and not the best food, could def be improved. "

"The rooms in this hotel were quite spacious & bright. Magnets on the doors to request housekeeping or not - if not, towels and amenities provided by hanging on door. This includes a complimentary bottle of water which was a nice addition. Check in and out process was easy & I left my bag after check out to collect later. Did have to pay a city tax on check in. For travel, close to Kujo station for subway and Kyoto or Tofukuji for Keihan mainline trains. Overall the location is quiet, Lawsons...

"Charming townhouse showcasing classical Japanese style. Only a short walk from the station. Very friendly staff in the guest building."

"Lovely Japanese style hotel with friendly and attentive staff. We enjoyed the complimentary Japanese breakfasts daily that were delivered to our room at a time we chose. Rooms were immaculate and cleaning done daily with fresh towels. Enjoyed looking at the koi fish and beautiful views of the pagoda from the rooftop garden. Very convenient to train station and restaurants. Highly recommend! "
