"A fantastic pub hotel in a historic part of the city. A great place to explore from. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfasts was delicious and the evening meal we had was too class. The Wyk pie is highly recommended! All in all a fantastic stay in a beautiful city. "

"The property was basic, as expected, but the host's behavior was shockingly unprofessional and erratic. After honestly correcting a simple booking mistake (one guest instead of two) and promptly offering payment, the host initially seemed polite but slow to respond.
Things turned serious when I accidentally locked myself out of the bedroom—without shoes or phone—and urgently contacted him via my smartwatch. He claimed he'd arrive in an hour but vanished for hours, ignoring multiple calls....

Great one night stay, Graham and Kay are excellent hosts , breakfast was fantastic .cheap local parking a bonus .

El desayuno inglés estaba muy bueno y tenías diferentes opciones a elegir en la carta.El servicio era atento y eficiente.

"Great one night stay after attending a wedding in the area. Well appointed room, in adjoining stable block, with bottled water, comfy bed and great shower. Lovely breakfast. We were also given a courtesy call on the day to check we were still coming as we were at the wedding. Highly recommend."

Good food in Restaurant for evening meal and also for Breakfast.
I would advise people to be careful on the Main stairs as it is an old building and these need to be taken with care.

Was a bit worried initially that they didn’t have anywhere to park but the info they provided regarding parking was really good and the longstay car park was really not that far away in the end, maybe a 3min walk at most. The rooms were clean & beds comfy. Staff were very helpful & grateful when you pointed out an issue(we had an issue with the drain in our shower). Breakfast was good. And the hotel was positioned...
