"We were in town attending a memorial for a local family member. The first floor rental was the perfect spot for our family. We had two other members of the family that were able to rent the second floor. We were able to see both rental units. Clean and what wonderful local art and history!The area was nice and quiet, the home charming. It was exactly what was needed, made us feel at home. We would recommend this rental to anyone wanting to stay in the area. Also check out the MothMan Museum. "

"The cabin was nice. The stairs are steep like they say. If you have a dog they might have a hard time getting up and down. It was pretty at night to sit and look at the stars. Overall it was a good place of you want to be in the woods. "

"We love the two separate cabins and enjoyed the fishing in the Ohio river. We even caught a catfish! We had everything we needed for our stay and the communication was great from the host. We wish we could have stayed longer than 1 day. Watch out for the poison ivy on the bank but other than that, great stay!"

"Loved the peace, tranquillity this property offered. I loved this property and will stay there again. The bluebirds and deer were an added benefit. "

"The home was nicely furnished with three living room areas, a complete kitchen with every thing you need, four bedrooms with comfortable bedding, three full bathrooms and linens supplied. We very much enjoyed the party house right on the river and the adjacent fire pit with comfortable benches. The driveway to the home is steep but very negotiable for cars and motorcycles. We enjoyed the time so much we are considering coming back next year."

"We had a great time back in nature and hanging out with lots of glass as we prepared for the thunder bunny trail race on Saturday. Everybody had their own bed and we all enjoyed a good night sleep before an early wake up. Call in an amazing race experience. Only issue we had was we couldn’t find the Wi-Fi password but we survived."

"We loved our time at Hawk Retreat. It was very clean and decorated with charm. We felt secluded, but close enough to Athens that it was convenient to head into town for food and fun. We’ll be back!"
