"This home is exactly as pictured. Very clean and everything was new. The home has everything you need, kitchen is very well stocked with appliances and utensils. The screened in porch provides a nice relaxing space for your morning coffee. There were so many extra touches to make you feel welcome. The organic homemade sourdough bread was amazing! Communication with the host was terrific, he reached out the day of check-in. There was a brief power outage as Duke energy was working just outside...

"We were in town for a long wedding weekend. With a one year old we opted to do a home environment. It was “the one”. She loved the screened porch. The wildlife was fun to watch. Multiple squirrels, birds and we even saw a small deer. Walking distance to great little pubs and kid friendly food. Downtown Waxhaw is a delight. Beds were comfortable and every possible thing you could need was thought of. Even Tony’s. Down south people know what this is. Overall I wish we had a few extra days to...

"The house was clean, nicely decorated and CONVENIENT to where we needed to be (Winthrop University and the Oratory). We were only there to sleep and eat breakfast. It was very nice with no real problems. It was a quiet neighborhood (no dogs barking through the night as a few reviews stated). You could hear the early morning train (thus the house's name) but it was in the distance and I found it comforting not annoying. I don't think it would even wake an infant. Maybe next time we will have time...

"We were in Rock Hill for my nephews high school graduation. This home was a nice location in downtown Rock Hill close to everything we needed and a pleasant stay for our dog. We were able to walk at Glencairn Gardens and Lake Winthrop on the university athletics complex. The fenced in backyard worked out very well. The road/driveway are narrow but we were able to navigate with our large truck. The neighbors were very friendly. We did not cook as we were in town to see family so either ate with...

"This was the perfect retreat for a weekend away with my roller-coaster enthusiast of a son. The cottage was spotless and had all the amenities we could ask for. The pull-out couch was the most comfortable bed ever! We used the kayaks on the lake and I enjoyed much-needed “me time”, reading my book on the dock. Short drive to Carowinds for adventure!"

"Overall the property was nice. Was not impressed with the lack of actual electrical outlets and what seemed like an overuse of extension cords. Was also very disappointed with the amount of kitchen ware. There were only 3 coffee cups and almost no usable cookware for preparing meals at the property."

The bed was super comfy. The bathroom was large and a great shower. I will be back.. booked the main house for another trip where some of my family will also be with me. "

"We stayed at the Milton House as part of a writer’s retreat—it was perfect! We felt we were in a cocoon, which is what we needed. We enjoyed the screen porch for our meals. We also enjoyed the neighborhood—perfect for our walks, and very close to coffee. The house was convenient to all the places we visited. I would definitely return!"

"Everything was exactly as described (we like that) and our dogs loved it. Close to downtown but not too close. We have a habit of rating our stays based on the quality of the shower pressure and hot water. This one will not disappoint. Thanks for a great stay. "
