Just a short walk 200 metres (2 minutes' walk) from the glorious beach at Afandou with beachfront fish restaurants and cafe bars. CASA VIA MARE is set in a quite place and is the perfect choice for families, groups of friends and couples looking for absolute privacy and a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday. CASA VIA MARE is a luxurious, modern Villa of unique design and position, offering accommodation of 3 spacious air-conditioned bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 external shower, open plan comfortable lounge with a flat 60 inches screen smart TV and kitchen with high end appliances onto a large patio, with barbecue facilities and a 7,00 x 3,50 m private swimming pool in front of the living room. Sophisticated interiors, great outdoors, all equipped to high standards. There is also a wide range of amenities that guests will find useful during their holidays such as Wi-Fi, home cinema, cable TV, washing machine and ironing facilities, private parking. The villa is surrounded by well-kept gardens with a private swimming pool equipped with sunbeds that create the perfect setting to relax under the golden rays of the sun and work on your tan. The large furnished verandas have pergolas and are ideal for gatherings, enjoying breakfast and romantic dinner. Opposite the Villa on the road to the beach there is a mini market with all the basic home supplies. On the High Way, 5 minute drive away from the Villa there is one of the most successful supermarket of the island with excellent prices and ATM service. CASA VIA MARE is approximately 1 km from Afandou village center, with a lovely square in the heart of the village and a wide selection of shops, that offers many conveniences such as supermarkets, restaurants, tavernas, café bars, cocktail bars, bakeries, ATMs, pharmacies and commercial shops, which can be accessed by a mini-train in the peak months. A must see is the beautiful Church of Our Lady Katholiki. Afandou village, one of the largest villages of Rhodes island is located on the east coast between Rhodes Town with Old Town and Lindos village with Acropolis of Lindos and not far from the resorts of Faliraki. It is Ideally positioned to explore the entire island. Afandou village can be reached from the International Airport Diagoras within a 15 minute car driving, and Rhodes Town and Lindos village are a 20 minute drive away. Afandou beach located just a few steps away from the villa has pebbles and sand inviting visitors to relax by the sea making use of the sunbeds and parasols. Right next to Afandou beach you can also find the golf course of the island that presents a great opportunity for some stylish exercise during your holidays. Absolutely beautiful!

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and location. Perfect in between Lindos and Rhodes. House was amazing with every amenity of a ultra modern home. Only issue was the internet was absolutely horrible…. Almost nonexistant. Also the sheets were flat/non fitted and not even long enough to tuck. Appreciated the fact that the owner purchased foot for breakfast etc! Otherwise great!

Summer travel

We really enjoyed ourselves in Rhodes. The house was as described with good air conditioning, a wonderful pool, and proximity to the beach (3 minute walk). While the house feels rural (chickens, roosters and cats roaming) it was so quiet and pleasant. George was responsive and left us with many snacks and drinks to make our stay even more pleasant. We would recommend.

Excellent property

The property is in a quiet location in walking distance to the beach where there are sun beds and a beach barThere are a few very nice places to eat in walking distance The owner is fantastic very helpful and happy to answear any questions The property has everything you need and is as described very clean and comfortable we would definitely consider returning To get about a car is recommended the main highway runs along the whole of the island and the property is roughly half way between Rhodes town and Lindos with lots of lovely areas in between

All perfekt, just a little Things

In any case, you are an excellent host and have a beautiful house in general. Nothing is missing, you take very good care of your house etc. It is luxuriously equipped and very nicely furnished, spacious and has a lot of space. We also found it very pleasant that we communicated with you via Whatsup, including the welcome breakfast etc. All not normal and not a matter of course for us Swiss, who are so spoiled. There are two things that you could possibly add or purchase. 1. Sharp kitchen knives/kitchen knives/carving knives, they are all no longer sharp. 2. possibly better sleeping mattresses, these are quite hard and not very comfortable with this steel spring Thank you so much Gerogios

Beautiful house but a few issues that you should consider

The house was beautiful and the location was close enough to walk to the beach and was a short drive to Afantou. The property was relatively clean, however you need to be aware of the ants. Someone must have dropped something on the floor in one of the bedrooms before we arrived as there was a swarm of ants around the spot. As our host said, ants are a common phenomenon in Greek country homes and are not harmful, however, there seems to be an underlying issue as ants are in every room. The host provided us with a very good selection of food for breakfast so we didn't have to go to the supermarket right away. There was a broken toilet seat in one of the bathrooms that we reported to our host on the first night. He said he would come the next day to check on it, but it remained broken for our entire stay. The bed in the main bedroom was extremely hard and you could feel the coils which made sleeping difficult. Rhodes is full of stray cats and there were about 10 of them living around the house and making themselves comfortable on the chairs around the pool. At some point some of the cats must have come into the house as one member of our group is allergic to cat hair and had to take allergy pills whenever in the house. The house is located in a rural area and there are roosters that start crowing starting at 1:30am so you have an early morning wake-up call.

Nice villa

This villa is well located on a ´quiet’´ area. Close to the beach and restaurants. The pool is just perfect. Some inconvenients straw mats, missing dish towells, and matress in the small bedroom.

Excellent villa and a great host.

The villa Casa Via Mare was spotlessly clean, with a well equipped kitchen and all the accessories needed to dine in or bbq. Georgios was there to great us and show us round the villa. He even very thoughtfully provided some food and drink for the morning. The beach was about 5 mins walk away, good for swimming as it became deep close to the shore. I would suggest hiring a car as shops and restaurants are a reasonable distance away, and this will allow you to explore Rhodes. Overall we had an excellent holiday and would thoroughly recommend this villa.

Tolles Haus an ruhiger Lage. Hervorragende Betreuung, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man hat sogar ein Starterpaket organisiert, damit wir uns ab der ersten Minute wohlgefühlt haben. Gerne wieder!👍🙏

Luxury Villa.

On arrival Georgios met us at the villa. Our first impression was very clean and well equipped ie wifi, large tv [Netfllix]]washing Machine just a few .The fridge was well stocked with breakfast items .For a family holiday it was great and very central for sign seeing around the island which Georgios was very knowledgeable and gave us tips. I would go back again and highy recommend this Villa for a luxury family holiday.

Fantastic villa, perfect for family with teens, Georgios has thought of everything!

Wow! what a great villa. Perfect open plan living, kitchen and dining area, with big sofas and TV (connected to Netflix and Youtube connections plus cable channels in English), but also lovely big bedrooms ideal if you have teens who want a bit of down time and space to themselves. The pool/patio area is a great place to relax with plenty of sun but also shade if you need it. It's located close to the main road to Rhodes Town and Lindos and up to the Butterfly valley and zoo. But far enough from the main roads that it is very quiet. And the sea is a few hundred metres away, together with great seafood restaurant Fresco. Everything is to a high standard, and thoughtful with salt, oil, tea/coffee for coffee machine etc all provided, plenty of toilet paper and bin bags, pegs for the washing line etc. Perhaps the best thing about this property is the owner Georgios. What an exceptional and kind man he is. Our flight was late and our satnav not great, so we arrived super late but he was super lovely checking we had food, stopping at a supermarket. He is very responsive if you don't know how something works. A bonus is the air conditioning also works as heating, as we were there in April and the nights were sometimes chilly. He cannot do enough for you, but is in no way invasive. Probably one of the loveliest villas we have booked via Vrbo in 10 years of using the site, and by far the most cordial owner. Stay! You wont' regret it. Rhodes is perfect for long lunches, friendly people, great historic sites, and a lush green interior. Don't miss the petting zoo, we fed lemurs and stroked them, plus ostriches and camels.

Uns hat Georgious Haus sehr gut gefallen

Wir waren im Oktober 22 eine Woche in diesem schönen Haus und haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Rhodos ist eine schöne Insel und die Zeit um das Saisonende hat in jedem Falle ihre Vorteile. Vom Haus ist es nicht weit zu einigen schönen Stränden, nach Rhodos-Stadt, zum Flughafen und zu vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten auf der nördlichen Seite der Insel. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, geräumig und Georgious ist sehr bemüht um seine Gäste. Hat Spass gemacht.

Alles gut !

Das Haus hat eine sehr gute ruhige Lage. Für 3 Personen gut geeignet bei 6 Personen ist das 2 Badezimmer (Gäste WC mit Dusche) etwas zu klein. Auch der Platz rund um den Poolbereich ist sehr eng. Es gibt nur 2 ordentliche Sonnenliegen.

Beautiful villa, perfectly peaceful

We absolutely loved our stay here, Georgios was the perfect host who communicated well and responded to any queries we had promptly. The villa itself is spacious, clean and modern. There are a few restaurants nearby that provide delicious Greek food with exceptional service. The beach, just a few minutes walk, is unspoilt and uncrowded with crystal clear water. Having a car is necessary to explore all that Rhodes has to offer, Georgios helped us sort this out in arrival. We had a really great time and highly recommend it if you’re looking for a private getaway in an authentic Greek location.

Gorgeous house for a chillaxing break

Casa via mare is a fabulous holiday home with all the necessary amenities. We arrived to a mini stocked kitchen. George was fantastic from onset. On arrival he gave directions to our taxi driver, to fixing the entrance gate when the electrics blew and even ordered our taxi back to the airport. Overall, brilliant service and gorgeous holiday apartment!

Amazing Property

Our family had such a fantastic stay at this perfectly beautiful house. The host, Georgios, was great. He met us for check in and made sure we had everything we needed- including a small wheelchair ramp for our daughter’s wheelchair. He even had the kitchen stocked with some snacks and drinks for us upon arrival. The house was very clean and super comfortable. It was a great location, central to all the activities we were doing in Rhodes. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to go back. Thank you Georgios for such a great property!

Tolles Haus in ruhiger Lage

Das Haus ist super, mega gepflegt und Georgios hat uns toll empfangen und geholfen, wenn wir Hilfe brauchten. Die Matratzen waren für uns ein bisschen zu hart, aber alles in allem hatten wir eine fabelhafte Zeit. Die Umgebung ist entspannt und perfekt zum Erholen. Gleich ums Eck gibt es ein tolles Restaurant und einen Minimarkt mit supernetten Inhabern (Fresko), eine fußläufig erreichbare nette Bar (Sundalia) und auch das Katholiki ist eine Empfehlung. Wir hatten eine großartige Zeit in Afandou und im Haus von Georgios.

Perfect group holiday

We had a wonderful week-long holiday in this villa. The villa was exactly as it looked in the pictures - I would say the inside communal area was even better! Georgios was incredibly hospitable - from liaising with our cab driver from the airport to ensure that we got to the villa easily, to stocking the fridge with essentials (and a couple of luxuries) to tide us over, he was clearly invested in us having a good time, and was always on hand and responsive to any queries we had over the week. The BBQ was a very pleasant surprise that allowed us to take advantage of the beautiful outside dining space. The area itself is lovely, although we were really happy to have rented a car in order to take trips to Lindos and Rhodes Old Town. The owners of the local restaurants were all lovely, and we returned to a couple of them on more than one occasion. There isn't lots within walking distance, but it'd be about a ten/fifteen minute cab journey to areas like Kolymbia or Afandou town if you wanted to get out and about. If you want a holiday that is the perfect mix of r&r, culture, and good food and drink, Afandou and Georgios' villa is ideal for it.

Great location

What a great place! Ideally placed to visit everywhere on the island. It’s located in a quiet area and only a short walk to a great fish restaurant and the beach just beyond that. All the rooms are spacious and air conditioned. George is friendly and responds to any questions quickly. Would definitely stay here again.

Wunderbare Villa mit Pool

Sehr stilvoll eingerichtete, gepflegte Villa mit Pool in ruhiger Lage. Der Strand ist in 5 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar, aufgrund der verkehrstechnisch günstigen Anbindung kann man mit dem Mietwagen auch den Rest der Insel Rhodos sehr gut erobern. Die Villa bietet drei Schlafzimmer, zwei Bäder, eine voll ausgestattete Wohnküche und ein geräumiges Wohnzimmer mit Terrasse und Pool. Fahrzeuge können direkt an der Villa abgestellt werden. Die Betreuung durch den sehr freundlichen und kompetenten Vermieter hat ebenfalls gut gefallen! Gerne wieder!
