"We stayed for one night at Skyland in the Shenandoah National Park on a recent visit to Virginia. We booked a ‘Traditional Room with 2 Queen beds’. The room was lodge style with a small terrace. Check-in was easy and we were able to park outside our room. The amenities and the room are basic and ‘tired’, but as expected. The beds were comfortable but the quality of the bedding was best described as ‘old’. The room had a musty smell but appeared clean. Although there was wifi it wasn’t really...

"30 mins before check in we were informed of a burn ban that had been in effect for several days- not being able to have a campfire was a huge bummer and this info should have been shared earlier. Because of the ban I asked for our destination fee back-it’s a $30 day fee for firewood and “curated snacks” which was a bag of popcorn and instant oatmeal and some smores. I felt that since we couldn’t have a fire the fee should be refunded because the cabin is right our plan had been some campfires...

"We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites Culpeper. We were seeing a concert at UVA but all of the hotels were sold out. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms were all updated, the gym was amazing with nice equipment, and the staff was very nice. The breakfast was also great. If we are ever staying in Culpeper again, we would definitely stay here!"

"The hotel room was very very small but the price was extremely high. We had the room closest to the breakfast room which is extremely noisy in the morning! The lady at the front desk was pretty arrogant to me and sized me up and down. When I tapped, the POS machine doesn’t work and she even blamed me for that! Never stay again"

"Great little suite in the cutest town of Culpeper. Place was extremely clean, quiet and convenient to all types of dining, shopping and train station. Beautifully decorated city with Christmas theme. Staff answered questions via email almost immediately. Very professional. We will stay here again. Highly recommend. "
