"What a beautiful hotel nestled in a vineyard in Tuscany. The atmosphere was incredible, such friendly and happy staff and restaurant. The breakfast was lovely! I could not recommend this hotel more. This was our first stay in Italy on our trip from Canada, we couldn’t have asked for more."

"We had a blast, and the proprietors were fantastic. They had plenty of local knowledge and seemed to have a real passion for what they do. Plus the venue is wonderful, and they have the best patio with views of the Tuscan hills. Would recommend, and would stay again."

"We stayed in Castillo for 5 days and we like it a lot. There was a good combination of medieval castle vibe and modern comfort. Although we’re mostly driving around exploring vineyards and small towns, we enjoyed the Castillo property, swimming pool and beautiful nature."

"Most beautiful property! Staff was incredible, kind and helpful. We ate at the restaurant both nights and it was delicious. Wait staff was the best! The owner even gave us rides back to our room. "Front desk was very nice! Complementary water and flip flops were given upon arrival. Overall the grounds were well maintained but the pool was dirty ( no cover on pool/ or pool boy to clean out every couple hours). Pool is right next to a main road covered up by some bushes but you can hear the cars zipping by. Rooms were nice. Breakfast had a great variety of food. Onsite dinner was okay nothing special."

"Get ready because when you drive here, this is off the grid. Actually the last 2 km are a narrow one-way street. If you rent a car, don’t get anything fancy get an SUV. From the moment we arrived, we encountered multiple issues that were handled poorly by management and staff. Our initial room had no functioning air conditioning, making it uncomfortable and unusable. From the moment we drove through the tree-lined driveway to the moment we pulled away; we were attended to by the most exceptional customer service. Communication was excellent prior to and during our stay. Additionally, and since we had a very late arrival, special care was taken and every effort was made to to make our visit most memorable. We were welcomed to beautiful rooms with a bottle of wine waiting and all the amenities....

"Place is nice, superb location, and staff is friendly. hotel+restaurant is fair for the price (good value, we felt like we made a good deal). Downside: we woke up to bed buds on the bed - a lot of them. Can happen anywhere, and we didn’t have any in our clothes / luggage it seems but we still had to quarantine our stuff (not ideal when travelling)."
