Botana villa9 review

Beautiful location, beautiful apartment. Air conditioner was excellent, WIFI was excellent had all necessary items for a wonderful 2 week stay. HIGHLY recommended.

Nice beach house

Cosy house located near a beautiful family beach which we enjoyed very much. The villa complex is nice, and green, with a great shared pool. The house had all you need, however we found some a little out dated, but nothing to big. We were happy we rented a car, because the town is lovely, but has not to much to offer, especially in September, but Pollença is 10 minute drive and a more vibrant place. We enjoyed our stay.

Nous avons passé un excellent moment en famille ( 2 adultes et 3 enfants).La villa est située dans un environnement calme, et à proximité de la plage et de commerces. Tout était conforme à la description. Nous avons été conquis par cette île et nous reviendrons avec plaisir! Merci!

Perfect family holiday - property and location!

We stayed as a family (a 2 year old toddler, and a 10 month old baby), and could not have enjoyed our holiday any more than we did! The property is fantastic, it has the use of a lovely (but quite quiet) share swimming pool, and its ease of access to local restaurants and bars, as well as the beach only being a 3 minute walk away(!), made it absolutely ideal. Adriana, the host, was also extremely responsive to any queries, and on hand to assist when we needed extra towels early into our stay. She was a delight to engage with.

Great holiday with our toddler

We stayed here for 1 week with our 2 year old daughter. The place was perfect for her with a stair gate and cot provided. The kitchen had everything we needed. There are terraces on the front and back, and also on the roof so you can always find sun or shade. The villa is part of a small complex with a shared pool but this was very quiet. The beach is a 5 minute walk at most. Alcudia and Port de Pollença are only a short drive away. The host was extremely easy to contact and was happy to answer questions throughout our stay. She also provided some essentials for when we first arrived and sent us a great list of local restaurants etc. We would highly recommend this place!

Excellent location and has potential, but a few easy fixes required

We had a nice holiday and the location of the villa is ideal, with a short walk to the beach and local the restaurants. However, there are a few things that prevent me from recommending this villa as it stands, although I think they are extremely easy things to fix so hopefully won't be an issue for long. 1. The child's stair gate is a genuine safety hazard - please do not use it. It does not fix securely when closed, meaning if a child pushes it / leans on it (even gently) they will fall through. We almost found this out the hard way with our 1 year old daughter and would urge the owners to remove or replace asap as in it's current state it is bordering on negligent. 2. Some items missing from the kitchen - e.g. there was no plate in the microwave, there was only one (very old!) chopping board, no dishwasher tablets or any disinfectant spray (which made cleaning surfaces impossible), no grater, or tin opener, no bin bags anywhere (we bought some ourselves, but would have expected at least one in the bin when we arrived). There was also no basic ingredients - e.g. salt or pepper would have made a real difference. 3. One of the two available deckchairs was put together incorrectly so it was unusable - surely an easy thing to fix with a screwdriver though. The indoor coffee tables were also badly put together and extremely unstable. 4. There was a bad smell of drains upstairs which made the bathroom virtually unusable. In the end we had to keep the door shut and keep the windows open the whole time, and just use the toilet and sink downstairs. This villa has great potential as it's in a beautiful setting and is nice and spacious, however there were several issues that need to be resolved.

Familienurlaub

Wir haben gemeinsam mit unserem 5 Jährigen Sohn 10 Tage in der Anlage verbracht. Leider sind wir erst recht spät in dem Ort angekommen und die Suche nach dem Haus gestaltete sich recht schwierig. Nach ca. 1h fanden wir dann endlich unsere Unterkunft, nachdem wir im Dunklen mehrfach durch die Anlage geirrt sind, was mit einem Kleinkind auch nicht unbedingt einfach war... Leider war es auch nicht möglich direkt am Haus zu parken und wir mussten unsere Koffer dann noch zum Haus schleppen, was sich bei der Hanglage der Anlage auch eher schwierig gestaltete. Im Haus angekommen, waren wir erst einmal froh da zu sein. Die Einrichtung und Sauberkeit war auf den ersten Blick ok ... jedoch der Eindruck des Hauses auf den Bildern zuvor war ein ganz Anderer. Die Räume waren alle recht dunkel, da keine direkt Sonne auf das Grundstück fiel und die Einrichtung wirkte auf den Fotos auch deutlich neuer und gepflegter. Alles war sehr lieblos dekoriert und am ersten Morgen mussten wir die Terrasse erst einmal aufräumen, um dort überhaupt Frühstücken zu können. In der Küche klebte überall noch der Schmutz der Vormieter und ich musste für unser eigenes Wohlbefinden erst einmal Alles putzen. In den folgenden Tagen wurden wir am Morgen permanent durch Lärm von Säge- und Bauarbeiten geweckt, was im Urlaub wirklich nervig war 😡 Wir haben für uns das Beste daraus gemacht, aber waren mit dem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis am Ende sehr enttäuscht. Da wir schon sehr häufig auf Mallorca Urlaub gemacht haben, konnten wir dies auch sehr gut einschätzen und mit anderen Objekten vergleichen. Im Großen und Ganzen würden wir diese Unterkunft nicht weiterempfehlen.

Great villa at a 5 min beach walk

We absolutely loved the villa and place. It is perfect for a family, you can walk to two amazing beaches and also enjoy the communal pool. The house is very well decorated, you immediately feel like at home. We will definitely come back! Thanks also to you Adriana for you availability and kindness.

Great location and communal pool

This is a nice little villa. Hard to find initially. Good location with beach very near and walking distance (with child) to shops and cafes. Short drive to supermarkets. The communal pool is lovely with plenty of sunloungers and other kids there to play with for the littles. The villa itself was well equipped. Beds a bit uncomfortable but I find that a general thing with beds in holiday accommodation. Great that there was AC. Nice to have a bbq and little patio. The balcony gets the sun although the garden and patio is shaded by the trees and other villas.

Lovely House and Brilliant Location

My family (myself, husband and two boys aged 7 and 4) enjoyed two lovely weeks at Adriana's house this July. It was clean, comfortable and well appointed and has air conditioning in the living room and bedrooms (which is perhaps not obvious from the description). Adrianna responds promptly to all queries and has obviously taken real care in furnishing the property. The location is amazing, barely a 5min walk from the 4 local beaches and about a 10min drive from local supermarkets. The towns of Pollenca and Puerto Pollenca are about 15mins drive away and you can get to Palma in under an hour. The complex itself is small enough never to feel crowded but large enough for the kids to make friends in the pool and share toys. I would say that the only issue is the directions for finding it. We arrived in the middle of the night due to a delayed flight and spent some time circling the town. Once you know where it is it is really easy to find, but initially Google Maps is not hugely helpful.

Perfect for us

We had a fabulous stay and the property was just perfect for our family of three adults and two very young children. As others have noted, the villa is ideally situated - just a short walk to the uncrowded beach (in May) and with its handily placed bar/café. A great location for keeping an eye on the kids while enjoying a cup of coffee. Was also very impressed with the beach bar staff. The villa had everything we needed and the kitchen was spacious and well equipped. Car parking is just below the villa in the gravel road which has little or no traffic. The swimming pool was a bit chilly, but the swimming pool area was well presented. We went to the beach each day anyway. Would heartily recommend the villa and Cala San Vicente as a destination. The property owner Adriana was incredibly helpful and prompt with her responses to our few requests.

Great location and well kitted out.

Check in easy - keys were in a key safe and the villa was ready for our arrival. Clean and plenty of towels provided. Great apartment inside - well proportioned. Kitchen has all that you would need with - other reviews had commented about needed more saucepans, Tupperware etc, the owner has obviously taken this on board as the only thing missing is a can opener (and we didn't need one anyway). The location is great - just a few minutes walk to the nearest beach which is sandy and good for children. There is another (slightly stony) beach about 10 mins away which the kids loved. I think the only negative I would say was that the villa felt quite dark inside and never really got the sun - this may well be due to the time of year we visited (late October) - and the private space at the back was just plain ground (no grass) once you got of the terrace. We had a lovely week, thank you!

Nice House with fine pool and with few 100 meters to a lovely Beach

We had a great time in Cala Saint Vincente. The house was perfect for our little family of 4. There was a crib for our baby. The living area in the ground floor is nice and cosy. The cleaning was ok, but could be a little more thorough (e.g. sand in the sofa and a few other minor things) The house was a little cold at times - especially the floor in the ground level (we were there in oct). The pool area was nice. We got clean towells, beds made etc. once during the week - which we didn't expect that. We could have used more outdoor space around the house (e.g. a lawn) that wasn't in the shadow - you won't need that during summer but in the fall it could be nice for the kids to play. The little town is fine - a few restaurants, beach bars and a couple of rather well equiped mini markets. The beaches there are beautiful and lovely. I would definitely recommend this place!

Fantastic family holiday

This villa was perfect for our family if 4. We stayed here for 7 nights with our 5 and 3 year old and loved the location and setting of the villa. It is set back from the main road but only a short walk to three different beaches and there are several lovely restaurants nearby although the kitchen is well equipped to self cater. There was no washing up liquid/cloths, or dishwasher tablets provided so would suggest bringing a few of your own so you don't have to buy when you're here. There's also a washing machine so you could bring some washing detergent too. There are a few ants around so you do need to make sure that all food waste is removed to avoid an invasion! This villa is beautiful, we loved it and will definitely be back!

Lovely family friendly villa and pool in a great location

We found Botana 9 a spacious and comfortable villa for a family of four with two little ones under 7. We enjoyed having indoor and outdoor eating spaces and the well equipped kitchen made eating in an easy option; great to have a dishwasher and laundry facilities too as well as a dryer for hanging towels and wet swimwear. The villa has ceiling fans in the bedrooms and two very effective portable fans but no aircon. Ordinarily I don't think this would have been an issue but there was a heatwave the first week with temperatures reaching the high 30s so it was unseasonably hot and uncomfortable, especially at night. The complex itself is lovely - quiet and well maintained - and the large, shared pool is great, especially for little ones as it has a fenced off shallow end. It's a 5 minutes walk down to the beach at Cala Molins; there are a few decent enough places to eat - Pizza Poli and La Tasca as well as the two mini supermarkets but there are lots of steps! The only downside to the resort is that the large hotel Groupotel Molins has been allowed to dominate so much, not least with its very loud live singing acts between 9 and 11pm every night which, with windows open, are broadcast to the whole bay and may not be to everyone's tastes! If you do have a car, free parking near the villa is really easy (as it is through most of the area) and you are within easy reach of the lovely beaches at Formentor and the Pine Walk at Puerto Pollensa and Alcudia as well as the big Eroski and Lidl supermarkets on the way to Pollensa old town. The owner, Adriana, and her family were super helpful and lovely both before and during our stay and I can't recommend the villa and them highly enough! I'd have no hesitation booking again.

Great stay at a fantastic location

We spent a great week in Cala de Sant Vicent at this very nice and cozy house. The cleaning was impeccable and the decoration was very nice. The two terraces have a great view and the walk to the beach is short and beautiful. My wife and I were traveling with our two year old daughter and the facilities for her were ideal as well. All in all a great experience, which we would throughly recommend.

Fantastic Accommodation and Location

Hi After much deliberation for our family summer holiday we finally settled for this lovely villa in Cala St Vincent. As we have two young boys (4 and 3 year olds) we were keen to be in a convient location, with all mod-cons, and most importantly safe; the villa worked out to be perfect. Villa is approximately 50min easy drive from Palma airport. We had some initial reservations regarding the lack of air conditioning, but even with day time temperatures reaching 30+degrees, the evening where cool and comfortable, all of us had no issues sleeping, helped by ceiling fans in both rooms. Kitchen was great with everything we needed to cook most days (except a tin opener, which was only a problem the last day!). Main bathroom is very nice, great shower! Rest of villa very comfortable, clean and well kept. Excellent wifi connectivity as well (which was handy for kids down time on iPads!). Shared pool was great and safe for the boys with a fenced off shallow end (0.8m deep), most days we had to ourselves, but there is plenty of space and sun beds when others where there. Most of the day natural shade could be found around the pool as well. Villa is a short walk 5min max from a fantastic sandy beach, most days the water was very calm and is shallow, which the boys loved. And Port de Pollencia is only a 15min drive away which has a great beach as well. Town of Cala St Vincent is great, there are a number of good resturants and convenience stores where you can get most things, although a very short drive there are 2 larger super markets. Overall we had a great 10 night stay, Adriana was a fantastic host who was very accommodating with our arrival and departure times. We will certainly be booking again. Nice place but small improvements would go far

Generally we enjoyed our stay here. Overall I would say it lacks a few small things that would make a big difference. For example there was the absolute bare bones of essential items. No salt/pepper/dish cloth/bin bags/sugar/washing up liq/soap/clingfilm/broom. Very limited kitchen items. Only one saucepan with a dodgy handle, no cheese grater, no tupperware etc, and nowhere to store any food as the few cupboards there are contain crockery. Comfy beds and sofa but outside chairs just plastic with no cushions. View from the bedroom balcony really lovely. View from the kitchen would have also been lovely except you cannot open the shutters very far so the view and light is somewhat blocked. We were very greatful for the stair-gate upstairs making it safe for our little one. Bathroom was nice and very good shower. Access to the pool was good and pool area nice but could do with some umberellas for shade. Quite easy to find and the area is really lovely with a 5 minute walk to the beach which was great!

a lovely aptment in a beautifull setting. Idel for couples seeking a quite retreat.

We had very nice stay .And found every comfort you would have at home . we had a car and unless you are only looking for beach holiday.or enjoy hikeing i would recommend you had one. The resturants in cala san vincent are good but quite limited. This is not the resort for teenagers or young people looking for night life they are better suited staying in alcudia. maybe one suggestion would be to send out a small map of how to find apt when you get to pepes as we would of never found it . all in all lovely place to rest and recuperate. the only down side is haveing to claim back the deposit from owners direct.
