Upon arrival, the lobby looked outdated with parts of the roof missing, and the buffet area had a foul odor. Thankfully, the other restaurants were excellent with great food. Our first night was difficult — the room next door had a woman with several children screaming nonstop. I called the front desk twice for help, but no one answered. I eventually went to the door myself, and while the noise briefly quieted, it soon returned. The mom appeared drunk and overwhelmed, and the children were out of control.
Overall, most of the staff were friendly and helpful, but guest services were hesitant to provide smaller bills, which was frustrating since these were meant for tipping their own employees. Scheduling dinner reservations online was also a nightmare — the system doesn’t allow changes, and adjustments require a long walk to guest services.
Another disappointment was the lack of communication about the privilege amenities. At check-in, nothing was mentioned, and I only learned days later about the privilege breakfast and dinner options, which I then missed out on. The free 30-minute massage, however, was excellent and a highlight of the stay.
In summary, while the staff (outside guest services) were wonderful, the specialty restaurants were enjoyable, and the massage was amazing, the outdated facilities, noise issues, poor communication, and frustrating reservation system left a lot to be desired.
