"Staff were amazing, could not help you enough and this was greatly appreciated. Note that the hotel does not have a restaurant and you are required to walk to a nearby sister property for an average breakfast. I would suggest not to include this, there are far better nearby options. Also note that the property is located in a great position down a lane way which is good for noise reduction however a short assisted walk from where you are dropped off by your transport. "

"The staff went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed our visit. The environment of hotel from the reception room to the restaurant was cheerful at all times. Breakfast was delicious and varied. Our room was clean, fresh and lovely. It was a pleasure to stay at the Grand Hotel du Lac and we would highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi. "

"The room was dirty and smelled like mildew, all the seating was stained, lighting is very dim, and the street is extremely noisy- no sound insulation from old quarter. you can hear conversations clearly all thru the night. i would never recommend staying here. i had to leave after the first night and booked another hotel.
