The property is completely automated but there is an attendant during typical business hours. My issue is that I began my check in process myself at the kiosk and the attendant decided I needed her “help” and started clicking buttons for me not allowing me to see what was actually happening on the screen. I believe she did mean well however she apparently clicked a button for me that indicated I wanted an upgrade to the room to a two bedroom. I was not aware of this and when the final screen came up it only mentioned a $150 deposit refundable upon checkout. I was traveling alone for business and the room was prepaid through Expedia making a two room upgrade a ridiculous option. When I got to the room I figured it was simply a limited room inventory and they put me in a room they had available which just happened to have two bedrooms. It’s happened many times before at other hotels but with a normal person checking me in - I would have been informed. This time when I checked out I was only then able to see the upgrade charges. There was no attendant as it was early in the morning so I completed checkout as I had a schedule to keep. Later that day I emailed the hotel and explained what happened and asked that the charges for the upgrade be removed. They refused and said it was my fault. I respectfully replied and reiterated the issue and details. As of now I have been told they were referring me to the operations team. That were it stands now so be careful at this hotel.
