"Wonderful place. Easy check in, lovely staff. The only hiccup for us is that they would only let my husband get a pizza from the Brasserie restaurant to take back to the room to eat, we had been up for hours and were to exhausted to eat out. Very limited room service menu as well. Otherwise everything was grand. "

"Amazing, small but well maintained Victorian building/lodge in a pleasant area, 10/15min drive from the city. Lots of buses to get in and out of the city in front of the lodge & reasonably cheap Uber/taxi ride. Friendly and helpful staff but be aware there’s no lift being an old building, but extremely lovely and helpful staff to help you with the luggage, just ask.. We stayed at the very top (so not suitable if you’re tall), well designed, clean, great fluffy linen/bed to come to, from all days...

The only thing we didn't know when we booked is that this hotel is nestled into the University of Edinburgh campus (hence the name)! Did that make me feel old as dirt? Yes. Did I love staying there? "Just an incredible time at the Norton House! Just an incredible comfortable bed with six pillows. Great breakfast, lunch dinner gourmet dinner available there on site and then to be able to walk the grounds and view the sheep go up by the woods and look down at the hotel. It was very nice. The spa facilities were top-notch. The receptionist were always available and friendly. I can’t say enough about the Norton."

"Perfect accommodation for a family. So pleased to arrive and find it stocked with breakfast items. Very thoughtful. Close tourist attractions, but be warned there are three gentlemen’s clubs on the same corner. However, it was not loud at night. We slept with windows open without issue"
