"We had a great time staying here whilst we were visiting family.We weren't cold at all even though we stayed in the middle of winter as there was heating all throughout the carriage and extra blankets if needed. Everything was converted/ upgraded to a high quality and we were very happy to stay."

"I always stay here for work. Staff are great, very clean, local to pubs and shops plus no height restrictions for vehicles. "

"Easy access to room. Room was comfortable and clean and well equipped for the price! Good location. Wifi was unable due to issues- would of been nice to be told instead of wasting time emailing and continuing to try- otherwise all good!"

"Had an amazing weekend away with the family, most rooms had newly done up ensuites and the view the property provides is stunning. Kudos to Nigel and Suzi, great hosts and made our experience very hospitable and welcome."

"Was originally put off with the BROWN Paint on the external metal as it appeared old and rusted. I was incorrect, the place is new and the paint was new. Just an optical illusion. They supplied Fresh Bread and Local Jams. Being Country people they offered a warm welcome. Down stairs double bedroom, with door, Upstairs was Double Bed and Single Bed, in an open environment. Accomodation was immaculate with all the Kitchen utensils and plates and bowls etc. Great for a country get away"

"Even after 1 year the place is still amazing. It even snowed the last night we were there. Such a relaxing holiday."

"Beautiful property and stay. Rooms are spacious and lots of areas to enjoy. Stephanie was very helpful and generous with breakfast supplies. Garden and fire pit also a great addition to enjoy. "The property grounds are lovely, both at the front entry and at the back patio. The beds were quite comfortable, including heating blankets to help fight the fall chill while we were in town. Also appreciated the eggs and milk waiting for us in the fridge.We were visiting Bathurst for my son’s ultimate frisbee tournament, so the onsite washer and dryer came in handy. We enjoyed the easy and beautiful river walk from the rental to Learmonth Park each day."

"We stayed at Old Alloway for a long weekend as part of our first-ever book club retreat—and it was a complete success. The house is absolutely stunning, with plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy. The views were nothing short of breathtaking, and the peaceful, secluded setting made it feel like a true escape. Yet, we were only 10 minutes from the heart of Bathurst, which made exploring the local area easy and enjoyable. We thoroughly loved our stay and couldn’t recommend Old Alloway...

"A warm and cosy room with a big comfortable bed. There is a good continental style breakfast to be found in the kitchenette along with an amazing variety of teas.The sunset can be seen from the front patio and we enjoyed the short walk to the centre of the village.Thank you Sophie for a great stay."
