"We recently returned from spending a week at this wonderful property. It is within a 5-minute drive to downtown Hilo with its many restaurants and shops. The home is situated at the end of a dead-end street and is very quiet. The home is older but very charming and offers all of the amenities of a newer property. "This place is a great - hosts are amazing people. They are intelligent, passionate, flexible, and friendly.
Sunsrise view is great. Incredibly safe environment. You really feel like you have a degree of quiet separation from the bustle of Hilo that is only a short drive away. So best of both worlds.
The tradeoff is that the village access does require a short drive on unpaved roads. So prepare mentally that this is a slightly more secluded location.

"Rating: 9/10 The condominium was very clean, modern appliances, well stocked and a great location. Very good budget value. Nice pool. Parking lot was a little sketchy looking. The place is close to downtown and the Hilo airport. Almost next door is Wailuku River State Park and close to Lili’oukalani Gardens - they make for scenic runs or hikes. Vivian was very quick to respond."

"Great location and well stocked quirky and old-school funky apartment! Loved it, and was a perfect base for the three of us for a week in Hilo! Not a fancy place, but had everything we needed and was well stocked and had nice touches like a lot of plugs around! Nice and helpful host, too! Would stay again on a return trip!"

"Marc Nishimoto is such a great guy, if there were any issues it was because of my ignorance; for a simple 2-3 day stay it was perfect for me and my family, if there was any problem, I thought the bath/shower floor was a litttle slippery, but the kitchen was fully stocked, lots of towels, beds good, and an ideal location if you want to check out Kamehmeha Avenue's strip of stores."
