"This is my second time I wanted to show my granddaughter why her Nana is moving to Hawaii and this is one of the places she fell in love with her. I fell in love with the place has been renovated, so it’s very shiny and clean, but only takes secondsplace when it comes to the view always moving. "It was a fantastic location. The only thing I would say is that there should be a designated smoking area away from building. With windows open it is hard to not breathe it when right below your window. The homey touches were wonderful."

"We enjoyed our stay here. It was a great home base for exploring Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and other sights on the Big Island. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfy. We walked to the ocean in the morning for great views of the coast and spent a lot of time on the screened porch enjoying the trees and flowers in the yard. They even grow their own pineapples! Craig and Patti are great hosts. Patti notified us about the Kilauea eruption. Unfortunately we missed the show because...

"We had such a nice time staying in our Hawaiian Celebration! We booked the Bantam Suite (which looks upon the incredible heritage banyan tree on the property), but when we arrived we were offered the Carriage House due to a cancellation – we took it, and it gave us a kitchen, a LOT of space, and ocean views (and lovely sunrises) right from the bed. "Building as a whole is a little dated (lobby, hallways, ponds, and parking stall) but looks like a refresh is in progress.The apartment was immaculate and comfortable. The perfect furniture and color palette I would have chosen for my home. I recommend bringing toilet paper, shampoo, and bath soap with you the first night (small quantities of these initial items were provided but didn’t last past first shower). "We loved staying in the penthouse. It was very tasteful and comfortable, and the view from the bedroom and lanai couldn’t be better. The people in the building were nice and a nice long pool was good for laps. Carl Smith beach right next-door was excellent for gentle swimming And snorkeling, and we saw a lot of turtles. I would definitely come back and stay in the penthouse. All the necessities were available in the kitchen, and the place was clean and tasteful. "
