Relax with the whole family at this peaceful nature retreat.
Our 2 bedroom with loft cabin has all the comforts of home and can sleep up to 6. The loft bedroom with queen bed opens to the living room below. Another bedroom on the main level provides a full bed and additional sleeping space can be accommodated with the queen sized futon in the livingroom.
Use your culinary skills to create a nice home cooked meal in the fully stocked kitchen. A new charcoal grill is also located on site.
After a day of exploring return home to soak in the relaxing clawfoot bathtub and enjoy the sounds of silence.
Surrounded by private wooded acreage where deer trot by the kitchen window. Front and back porches are great for bird watching and viewing the valley.
An abundance of family activities within 30 minutes including canoeing, skiing at Paoli Peaks, exploring Marengo Cave, hiking at Hemlock Cliffs, Patoka Lake and Spring Mill State Park.
**There is NO WiFi available. Our cabin is the perfect place to unplug, relax & re-group before heading back into our crazy busy lives. You also won't likely have cell service inside the cabin but can usually get service at the end of the driveway.**

We had a wonderful time in this cozy cabin. Very secluded, pretty much no cell reception, great yard for dogs to run around, and lots of toys, games, and a fully stocked kitchen.

Our stay at this little cabin was a perfect weekend getaway. It was clean and well-stocked. You're minutes from HNF and Paoli Peaks, and about 30 from West Baden/French Lick.The footprint is small but efficient with two sleeping areas and seating for 5 (more if you pull out the stools). The kitchen has everything you need. The host had tons of puzzles and books for an unplugged stay, including a lazy susan game table that fit well on the coffee table. There was even a stocked knitting basket and dog bowls.I wanted somewhere tucked away with a clear view of the sky to watch the peak of the gemind meteor shower and i wasnt disappointed! We made homemade cocoa and played some games. Even with the arctic temps we were cozy in the cabin.Notes: the clawfoot tub has a handheld shower. I loved a hot soak in the tub while my husband struggled with the handheld idea (which I found humorous). You can hear everything from the downstairs bedroom. The steps to each porch are wood and may be slippery.

This property and the property owner are EXCELLENT - which is probably an understatement. The owner is very prompt, thorough, professional and pleasant when you work with her. And the property is EXACTLY what you see in the pics and in the description. Its like stepping back in time in some ways, while still enjoying modern amenities. Like the description says - if you are looking to truly disconnect from your phone/technology for a time, this is 100% the place to come. Just minutes from beautiful Patoka Lake and all it has to offer, in addition to other area attractions such as French Like, Hoosier National Forrest and more. I will absolutely be coming back more times in the future and asking a couple of my family members to join me as well. In summary - I wish I owned a place just like this!

Great place to stay for some tranquility. The full kitchen was great for our stay. The huge bathtub was a major plus for relaxing after a day on the lake. Lots of wildlife to see. Very secluded. This is the cabin. you need not look any further

Nice and clean and newer. Very private, spent a lot of time at Lake Patoka, Odborne ramp about 30 minutes away. Shower was a little difficult as it was a tub with a sprayer, nice though. Plenty of coffee and firewood, however, no internet that’s ok but no cell phone reception which didn’t bother me much but freaked everyone else out!

The property is beautiful. Welcoming to all ages. The cabin is classic and modern at the same time. I felt like I was at home. There was toys, firewood, a fire pit, spices and sugar, and coffee. It was extremely comfortable. I would definatly go back!

Fantastic off the grid getaway!

We stayed at this cabin while visiting Marengo Caves and Hoosier Forest. Bautiful cabin in ultimate peaceful setting. My kids loved it and are said they want to stay there every time we go out town!

Beautiful, peaceful cabin, in a quiet area

We loved our stay at this beautiful cabin. Seeing the stars and all the beautiful features of the cabin. Beds and pillows were very comfortable and everything was spotless. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the water heater ran very loudly in the middle of the night from about 3 am to 4:30 it woke both of us up and I couldnt get back to sleep while it was running.Im not sure if the unit could be programmed to run at a different time but that's the only possible area for improvement other than that everything was phenomenal.

Sweet Cabin

Lovely cabin in a secluded area surrounded by nature. Decorated beautifully and they had lots of games, books, movies, and kitchen necessities provided. Plenty of sleeping spaces and even had a toddler bed and rocking chair set out for our daughter. The host is very accommodating and went above and beyond for us as guests. We would stay here again and again!!
