"Lawerence was fab, he helped our wobbly check in due to enjoyment the Matakana Pub and then allowed for a late check out. The outside bath and fire were magic. Within a short stroll to the Matakana Willage so very convenient.Would absolutely recommend to any couple wishing to "Get Away" and reconnect. Magic in Matakana. We"ll be back..."

"A hidden gem. We are hoping to make this our annual couple's retreat. Great location, gorgeous room and we would happily have sat out the back watching the waterfall over a drink forever. The only drawback, and it feels like a big one, is that we have to go back to our normal life now."

"Great location, very close to the heart of the village. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, well appointed and had a very comfortable bed. Heat pumps both upstairs and downstairs made it comfortable whatever the temperature. Communication was excellent throughout. Would happily stay again."

"Lovely property in a good location with short walk to Matakana Village. Very clean and quality fittings. We would like to have had a microwave for convenience and lack of a TV seems a bit odd. Otherwise a very comfortable option for a couple."

"A well appointed, spotlessly clean, and oh so comfortable hideaway, with lovely bush views. Hearing kiwi calling in the night and kākā during the day added to the feeling of being somewhere very special. Our hosts were lovely, and generous with their time and suggestions of things to do. The bach is just up the road from the Tawharanui Open Sanctuary (and night-time kiwi spotting), and the Matakana Market and Cinema are just 10 minutes away. We'll be back!"

"The property is cool. We took our elderly mum. The entrance to the house is flat and was easy for her to navigate. The house is well appointed in Kiwi chic, very comfortable beds, bathroom with shower and bath is very tidy, address was very easy to find, 2 mins from the Warkworth Township. Steve is a top chap, nothing is a problem. The sheep on the other hand were a complete disappoinment, generally disinterested in us."
