"Heather the manager was very friendly and welcoming. We got our drinks at the bar and confirmed our stay and we had a lovely evening meal. The room was spacious and comfortable with a shower and bath.It was very quiet.Breakfast in the morning was great and heather made us feel so at home. Definitely would recommend a stay."

"Hotel as described. 10 minutes walk into Grasmere. Free parking, although I doubt enough if hotel at capacity. Bus stop outside. Breakfast was nice & plenty of options. We had dinner one evening and it was good & good value. Dog friendly, in fact Luna felt bery welcome! We decline one days room clean in exchange for a couple of free drinks, that was a nice idea and encoraged reuse of towels etc All in all great stay"

" We stayed at this amazing hotel for our wedding anniversary on the 1st of August for 2 nights. The staff in all areas were out of this world and could not do enough for us especially in the restaurant and I have to give a special mention to Derrick who is incredible and takes a lot of pride in his work and it shows. "My sister and I spent just a couple of nights here and truly fell in love with the house and staff. Every interaction was easy and kind, the house was incredibly well kept, and the grounds were gorgeous. It's located a bit out of the way which is perfect for minimizing crowds and noise! Our room was perfectly sized and the bed/bedding comfortable. All in all, a 10/10. Highly recommend to anyone in any stage of life."

"For a first trip by myself definitely felt safe and comfortable. Staff were amazing, so friendly there was always a good atmosphere. Spacious and clean room and bathroom. No parking but two carparks in walking distance can top up on a morning. Option to come and go from side gate so can avoid being in the way when pub is busy. Breakfast 10/10 Steak and Ale Pie 10/10"
