"Nice basic cottage right across from Jeanette’s Pier. Room was clean and well stocked with linens. Bed comfortable. Stove could use a cleaning but we just heated up pizza in it no biggie. They allow pets with a fee. Really great restaurant next door. Sam and Omie’s. Will stay here again "

"This is by far the best place I have ever stayed at. It was super clean and just beautiful. We had a great view. The staff was friendly and helpful. Even the other people staying there were friendly. It was a pretty low key place. Family and pet friendly. The beach wasn’t overcrowded. We were able to walk to a few of the restaurants. Shopping and other activities were just a short drive away. I would definitely stay there again."

"I was skeptical when I read the Sanderling was ditching the coast guard orange umbrellas and cushions that were symbolic of the resort; however, I was pleasantly surprised how easy on the eyes the new colors are. It was a good decision. The new carpets, paint, color coordinations, they are all home runs. The Sanderling is the crown jewel of the Outerbanks. I have just one minor suggestion: Get rid of the two stroke engine powered blowers used to push sand back onto paths. Electric...

"When we first arrived to the property it was aestically pleasing. We checked in at the welcome center and the staff were super inviiting and friendly. There was a coffee station by the lobby which was a nice touch. We then left the welcome center to go to our unit. We passed the pool area which was very nice for adults and kids. The unit was nestled in the woods. It did not look appealing from the outside. The wood looked run down. There were spiders and bugs every where. Downside: every time...

"Each room has two chairs and a table in front of them for smoking, there even was a cigarette bucket. Room was very spacious and clean. Beds were a little hard and the only major issue I had was the AC unit in the wall did not keep the room super cold."

"I don't want this to actually be a complaint because the staff was great but, at check in, the key programmer wasn't working so we had to prop open the door for a while so we could load in. After I did get a key card, we only received one and there were actually two of us so a little inconvenient. Also, the key card would only work on the outside door and would not work on the inside door. Other than that, everything was okay. Loved the new restaurant."

"Whenever i come to town to teaxh i stay here. The staff are amazing, the view of the ocean is beautiful. This time i was a little disappointed because the beds seem to of not had fresh sheets since i found stains and random hair on them."
