It's just the insane luggage porter and water taxi setup is actively overwhelming them. Constantly having to direct people to ATMs, calling for porters, it's all too much. Hotel was very clean. "After our last stay we needed some luxury. I would strictly advise you take the private water taxi approximately €100 because it’ll take you right to the hotel. If you take the public water taxi/water bus it will let you off on Rialto and then you have to walk up the Rialto bridge with your luggage to the hotel and walking up that bridge with any luggage will be a chore that you do not want to endure. If you have the money to stay at the splendid, you have the money for the private water taxi....
