The Neighborhood:
No longer just for those in the know, charming Elsternwick has quietly evolved into a trendy, culturally-diverse neighbourhood complete with a buzzing shopping, café and dining scene. Family friendly, pet friendly and just plain friendly full stop. It’s no surprise that people are lining up to join this affable community.
You won’t be hard-pressed to figure out why Elsternwick has become one of Melbourne’s most popular suburbs. After all, it’s just so likeable. Warm and welcoming, everything feels close by in this close-knit community. There’s a thriving, centrally-located shopping hub and it’s only a short drive to the city or the beach. It seems Elsternwick has it all.
Glen Huntly Road, Elsternwick’s much-loved main drag, continues to evolve with new shops, cafés and restaurants popping up regularly. The area’s multitude of parks offer pockets of solitude and include what is arguably one of Melbourne’s best picnic spots – the National Trust-listed Rippon Lea Estate. Add to that a historic cinema, and locals can easily while away the weekend without ever having to leave the neighbourhood.
With the city just a quick train ride away, and the beach only a short bicycle ride, the safe streets are attractive to residents looking for quiet and peace of mind, whilst still having plenty to do on the thriving main drag.
Getting Around:
Elsternwick railway station on the Sandringham railway line is located on Riddell Parade next to Glen Huntly Road.
Melbourne tram route 67 links Elsternwick to the Melbourne city centre. It travels along Glen Huntly Road from Carnegie, through Glen Huntly and Caulfield South to Elsternwick and, then, via Brighton Road and St Kilda Road to the CBD, via Swanston Street. It terminates at the University of Melbourne.
Other Things to Note:
All the apartments we manage come with a detailed Welcome Letter so you know how everything works to ensure you can get the most out of your stay. All bedding and towels (note one bath towel per person booked) are included along with beginner basics such as tea, coffee, sugar, milk, shampoo, bodywash and toilet paper to get you through the first few days.
Prior to arrival, we ask all guests to quickly fill in some contact information and tell them a little bit more about how we hope they'll look after the apartment.
Be aware that for bookings made at short notice we may not be able to change the already-prepared bed configuration - if a certain configuration is important to your last minute stay, please send an enquiry rather than booking.
Please note as we continue to improve the property over time the furniture and furnishings may change from those shown in the photos.
Guests are required to advise us of their chosen bed configuration for the second bedroom at the time of booking, if we do not get this information the bed will be made as a king bed. Please be advised bookings with arrival in less than 48 hours time may not be able to get their choice of bed configuration. Please message us to check if needed.
