The Grand Canyon itself is an amazing destination, however, there are so many great sites and destinations near or on the trip to the Grand Canyon. Stumbled upon this beautiful site on the journey to the north rim! There’s a great NPS visitor center here. There is a great treat of a population of California condors (an extremely endangered species for those who are unaware... as I was prior to my visit). There are also native artists selling beautiful works if you take the beautiful walk across to the other side of the bridge:)

I arrived late (10:30 pm.) during the off season but there was a friendly and helpful member of the staff waiting to check me in. Check in was super fast and easy.
