"Beautiful historic inn in picturesque countryside, really friendly and kind staff, cosy clean comfortable rooms and delicious meals."

"Really nice place and would stay again but I would probably remember to book a room with a bigger bed 😂. We didn’t do the Spa but maybe next time. The restaurant was lovely and some amazing views overlooking the Peak District. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"When we arrived, the staff attended to us very quickly and efficiently and were very welcoming. The hotel is very clean, breakfast is delicious and all the hotel and spa staff were pleasant. The room i believe got upgraded from the one we booked previously and overall would recommend the place so already booked the next trip to go back!!!"

"My family and I stayed here for one night. It was good value for money, with all mod cons, very clean and even a had a hot tub. The main bed is a huge 4 poster and very comfortable. I would stay again 👍"

"When we arrived at the lodge we were supposed to be staying in there was another family there who said the lodge they were supposed to be staying in was occupied so they were given this lodge. We rang the contact number and he apologised, we were provided the key code for another lodge and when i opened the door that was occupied as there was a dog in there. "The property was cold and the device to set the temperature seemed to be out of battery. It was somewhat hard to find, and when we entered there was a vacuum cleaner sitting in the hallway. Parking can be hard to find, and the owners' emails seemed to be automatic and not responsive."

"Wonderful stay, was welcomed and shown to the room, beautiful area and access for great walks. They were very accommodating to the fact we had a super early start one day so we would miss breakfast, however they had prepared a lovely packed lunch for us whilst out for the day. Breakfast the next day was super tasty. Room was very clean and not slept like that for a very long time."

"A comfortable stay in a very nice hotel. If you have problems walking, ensure you get a room close to the lifts, as we had a considerable walk including stairs to our room. I would prefer parking to be included in the cost of the stay."
