"Room was not cleaned, there was spider cobwebs under TV unit, bathroom. Floor was dirty with dirt and gum was stuck on the floor under the bed. Lizard was there in the bathroom. Other than that there was no issue. "

"Due to heavy bookings for UTA event we stayed in a twin room the first night booked direct with motel it was OK for 2 adults 1 teen but we found the second night much better, same sort of facilities but just extra space (this Expedia booking). Rooms were right next to each other but we had to check out 10am check back in at 2pm. The owner was encouraging us to stay in the smaller room but not willing to reduce the cost to cover price difference (approx $60) so we went with our original...

"Historic hotel is well located between Katoomba and Blackheath so very easy drive to many sites. Due to age of hotel rooms a little small but functional, the decor even older was well maintained and cosy. Only cons room had to be cleaned again before we accepted it, however the management reacted well and solved the problem. Staff friendly however suggest a bit of training in customer service will work to help make this hotel even better. Overall would recommend this hotel."

Accommodation was exceptional value, room was good size with really high ceilings, beautiful big bay window (floor to ceiling), oversized circular wall mirror, comfortable mattress, clean and fresh bed linen, shared bathroom was clean and well maintained, secure parking (off street) behind the pub.
