"Oh my goodness words can’t possibly describe how much fun we had! I spent 20 years of my career working in hospitality, and this home provides all the hospitable feels of home and so much more! I think one of our favorite joys were all of the different vessels to choose from! Kayaks/paddle boards that provide opportunities for two, one or even small kids. Absolutely everything was thought of in this home! We can’t wait to go back. "

You are the upstairs to another larger rental downstairs but all the outdoor areas are separate and it's surprisingly private. You are directly on the river at a great location. We saw manatees every day! The couple of minor issues we had were resolved almost immediately...communication was excellent with the property managers. We'll be back!"

"Definitely a great place to stay, I would say the area has some hidden gems. The river is great, but with a big family we went to Roger’s Park which I highly recommend along with Aripeka Sand hills which was a bonus adventure. Everyone morning we sat out back and watched so many species of fish just pile through the canal. Kids won’t forget this one."

"We had a great time at this house, as a friend group over a long weekend :). Check in was straight forward, communication with the owner was easy. The outdoor screened in space under the main house was amazing - having the extra fridge and freezer down there was awesome! The fans were appreciated and the inside AC spaces always stayed cool. Some of the folks in our groups with slight mobility issues appreciated the steps and handrail to easily walk in and out of the river. The amenities at...

"The whole experience, from pre-booking all the way through check-out was perfect. The owner was super responsive, friendly, and accommodating. The home has a significant "WOW" factor when you open the front door. The kitchen is well laid out complete with just about all of the cooking and baking needs (minus the ingrediants) that you need. The entire home was clean and bright. I would stay here again in a heart beat!"

"We had a great time and the house has a great layout for a couple families. My 12 and 8 year old paddled all the way from the spring head back to the house in their own kayak. Kevin is an amazing host. We appreciate the early check-in, extra supplies (garbage bags, dish soap, shampoo, salt, pepper, and other pantry items, kayaks, paddles, floats and so much more) It made it easy to settle in. He is very responsive to all messages. Thank you so much!"

"Everything was good for the most part.A few suggestions though: the weeds need to be maintained as they are over grown in the grilling area. Similarly, the kayaks and canoes should be upside down so that they do not retain water."

"We enjoyed our stay at the mermaid retreat. The common areas are spacious and cozy. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and we very much enjoyed the kayaks, lanai and dock. Just a short paddle away from the river where we could paddle up towards the state park. Saw several manatees on our journey. The neighbors are friendly and quiet. Very peaceful overall. "
