"I don’t know why people rated so low. It’s a little dated but for the price and the area it’s pretty good. Small hot spring pool is basically a private pool. The bed was clean and comfortable and had full kitchen available with cutlery and plates, cups microwave and oven. I would definitely recommend if you are on a budget. Most other hotels in the area are much more expensive. Staff was friendly and made sure everything was satisfactory. It’s not a brand new property but well taken care of."

"This is my second time to book a room with them and they did not disappoont. The room is nice and clean with a cozy feel. Everything you need is there ready to be used. Staff is friendly and accomodating. Will book again soon! ❤️"

"We've been going to Cosy Cottage for years, both camping and in the cabins. It's clean, it's peaceful, we love waking up and enjoying the hot pools, and the proximity to everything in town. A must stay when in town."

"We loved the location, secluded lake front, close to Skyline and other attractions. Spa and sauna in a fabulous spot to enjoy the beautiful views while relaxing. Above all amazing staff, very friendly and helpful. A fabulous cooked to order breakfast to start the day."

"Vivien was amazing. Very welcoming, gave us lots of information about the things we could do that interested us. Property is very clean, bed very comfortable and breakfast has all you need to start the day. Very close to the redwoods which is a big plus for us as we do love the redwoods. You will see us again Vivien. And oh the bakery you told us about is amazing. "

"What a lovely setting for a stay in Rotarua! Close enough to town to have easy access while keeping a bit of distance between the amazing geysers and their aromas and antics. Further, the rooms and grounds are a destination in themselves, with the accommodating manager Rajiv Shama and his staff always available to help with questions, reservations, and transportation. Breakfasts were lovely and fast. Take the time to walk the grounds and talk to the parrots. Thoroughly charming. "
